They didn’t let Obama’s grandmother loose until she had been very thoroughly instructed what to say to the press.
Well before the 2008 election, she told the press that her whole family was Muslim. Then, in 2008 when Obama was running, she told the press that, well, actually they were all Christian. Then for several months she was under apparent house arrest, and there were no interviews. Then, around the time of the inauguration, there were brief stories that she was going on the Haj.
Now it seems that her whole family is Muslim again. Except, of course, for Obama. I think she got the story straight this time, but I imagine they will still confine her to her house and prevent further interviews until the next convenient moment.
And the press will do what they are told.
Isn’t it interesting that this article is in a British newspaper? I didn’t think that the American media would touch a story like this with a 10 foot pole.
