George W. Bush's return to the spotlight has resulted in big sales for his memoir, "Decision Points."
His publisher, Crown, said Wednesday that the former president's book has sold more than 1.1 million copies since hitting shelves two weeks ago, The Associated Press reported.
More than 135,000 copies were sold as e-books, according to the publisher.
Bush kept a low profile after leaving office last year, declining interviews and avoiding comment on his successor and politics in general. But he emerged this month to promote the book, appearing in interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly.

Just got the book today.
Same here.
I didn’t buy the book. Why? Simple.
Why would I buy it when Bush 43 proudly declared this on TV that he set aside the “free market principles” just to solve the September 2008 Financial Crisis.
What a dunce for a leader!
Doesnt matter, you drama queen. Dumbama could not get us out of this mess. The difference is that the Kenyan Klown promised to do so with HOPEYCHANGEY and look what it got us.
Has the “author” read it?
How does the “author” pronounce “Decision Points”?
My husband’s best friend gave us a signed copy yesterday!
Sadly, I must agree with you. Folks can rationalize it all they want, but Bush II made many poor decisions that will dog this country for years to come.
There is plenty of blame to go around, but as Truman said, the buck stops with the President.
No the free market would not have gotten us here.
Poppy Bush and his wife recently talking about how wonderful Bill Clinton is, show us the elites true stripes.
This is the same Poppy Bush who Reagan said “I paid for this microphone!”

Watch the video and you will see a TRUE conservative who is also standing up for Dole, Phil Crane, John Anderson and Howard Baker to be allowed to debate.
The same Poppy Bush who smeared an honorable conservative, Pete DuPont, by calling him “Pierre.” Pete DuPont is a gentleman - Poppy is not.
I liked GW, I made more phone calls than probably anyone on FR for him against Kerry and wrote a lot of checks both times.
All in all he was a good man but no more Bushes.
That’s great to hear, he deserves the respect and admiration of the American People.
Amazing though - George W. Bush, Glenn Beck, JayZ, and Keith Richards topping the book chart top 10 best sellers this week.
He didn’t “proudly” declare anything. If you read his book, you would know what went into making that decision. Be thankful you didn’t have to deal with the problem yourself.
He made some poor decisions, he also made some good ones. However, he loves America, and that’s more than can be said for the current president.
Bush has shown class in not criticizing his successor, and he’s had plenty to criticize. He remains silent in the face of Obama’s insults.
Must really fry Pelosi that Bush’s book sells so well.
Just the week after the release of Pelosi’s book “Know Your Power,” Pelosi had sold 2737 copies. Yes, that is correct . . . . 2737 copies.
Me? drama queen? Hates drama, yoh!
In fact the real drama queens are those who are crying ... reminiscing the Golden Age of Bush 43 ... loving their compassionate President! Oh, the lost glory!
Kenyan President is the main legacy of Bush 43! That’s the drama you can believe in!
Pweh!
Pres. Bush was no dunce. “Dunce”is the word of choice the
left used
to describe every Republican president since Eisenhower.
“W” had weaknesses but he is a class act and a man of honor.
Selling 1 Million cpoies of a biography of a man the left
and the MSM villified daily for 8 yearsn ain’t bad.
Wrong. He proudly mentioned that while he was promoting his Decision Point book with that NBC guy, Matt Lauer.
Check it out!
I agree with your post in every respect. Bush II, was, and is, a class act.
And he’s a patriot. Every decision that he made he thought was for the good of the country.
But the mistakes he made were huge. Huge. That’s Monday-morning quarterbacking, I know.
I thought you had converted to reason.
I’m confused, isn’t he one of the blue blood elite, like his Dad?
I purchased two of them. One for me and one to give for chaunka gift.
