How did the colonists take on the most powerful nation in the world? They stood and fought, to a man.

They stood and FOUGHT. Therein lies the keyword. I don’t see modern conservatives throwing away their creature comforts and the safety of their family to overthrow tyranny. Not going to happen. The leftist vermin are a thousand times more diabolical than the British empire and yet the right just whines and protests, nothing more.

The place for that debate or discussion is during consideration of a Constitutional amendment permitting such searches. They are not now legal, and the supposed good intentions of an enlightened few cannot change this.

Yes. It is illegal. Period.
Yet some don’t give a crap, they will give up the fourth amendment for convenience. No big deal.
And when Obama gets his wish of a huge civilian army of union goons to do this same thing on the streets, paid for with stimulus money, with no appeals and huge fines for non-compliance, these same simpletons will have no leg to stand on.
We will have already have established precedence in the law, and they’ve already said they’re cool with it.
