Click on white triangle on the Japanese text page, after going to the link, to stream (on most systems, up for another day or so). Approximately one minute long clip, from Japanese evening news a few hours ago here in Tokyo.
a) Footage of Pyongyang, North Korean TV female announcer spitting bile and filth towards innocent South Korea saying that they deserved the attacks because they started it and more would be on the way.
b) Japanese and South Korean reporters today apparantly caught and cornered the envoy of North Korea (DPRK) to the United Nations on a sidewalk in NYC, Mr. Pak, and asked him about this attack by North Korea. He of course turned the tables, and listen to his VERY provocative reply in English to the reporters (another bold North Korean unapologetic threat to make additioanl war moves).
Sorry to hear about your cat, Eye of Unk. Sometimes cats do find their way back after hiding out for a while.
Right now my totally blind cat is outside and it’s freezing and dark...she’s mentally challenged having fallen down from trees and roofs so many times. We live in woods with all kinds of predators around from bears and cougars to bobcats and racoons.
She’s always made it back before, I hope yours does.
I still have family and friends in Japan, so can tell you that Japan is in our prayers along with South Korea. The only resolution I see at this point is for China to march over the Yalu River and put Kim Jong Mentally Ill on ice until the situation can be resolved.
Hey thanks, I needed a lift.
Spent the day driving around some more, checked at two animal shelters and left some postings on Craigslist up here.
I still have a couple more kitties including the “brother” of the one missing, he is nearly identical but much fatter, she was my absolute favorite, the best I have had in years, and here in Alaska I also have an attrition rate from predators.
For years it was pit bulls from my neighbors, and before that eagles and owls. And an occasional fox or wolf. Seems like the worst predator is another family member that just hates my cat, my 30 year old mentally unstable stepdaughter.
:-(
Did she take the cat away, then? Not a natural “cat getting itself lost” thing?
The worst animals here are the deer. I’ve had more than one cat stomped to death by deer when they’re just about to fawn and a while after.
This summer my very very favorite got stomped on. I now hate deer. My cat was black and white and really showed up. Why the freaking deer think a tiny cat will harm their fawns I have no idea. I’m trying to get DH to build a cedar fence or some kind of fence all around the property (5 acres) to keep the freaking deer out.
We now have only 2 cats and one is all blind and the other heading that way. They are offspring of feral cats that were dumped here and people let close relative cats breed with each other so recessive genes came out and caused blindness.
Anyway, my rant’s over. Going to go call the cat again.
Sigh, cats just don’t live very long around here.
i came up with three different stories, took cat down the street, took cat to Wasilla, took cat to a shopping center and gave it too a little girl.
My stepdaughter suffered some brain damage years ago, basically she stays upstairs in a virtual computer world, she cannot handle real life.
I will get another from the local adoption agency. Save a life. And if it disappears I will bring charges against her.
Oh, sorry to hear all that. I wish there was some way to prevent s.d. from driving.
How can anyone hate cats.
Maybe some good hearted person is taking care of your cat.
I don’t know where you are but I would think you have seen the Discovery Channel reality show “Ice Road Truckers” or the latest one, IRT-Dangerous Roads?
One of the drivers Lisa Kelly lives in my hometown of Wasilla, Alaska and she will be at a cat adoption event at our local big box pet store the Pet Zoo this sunday the 28th.
She will be the celebrity working with an adoption agency that I asked about doing volunteer work as I am also a truck driver, not on Lisa Kelly’s level, I just drive a 12 yard concrete mixer 8 months out of the year, occasionally during the winter for special projects.
I have to absolutely commend her on her driving skills, especially her being in a third world country with primitive and dangerous roads.
As far as the family matter, I am leaving the family come next spring and I will be looking for my own home elsewhere.
Plenty of used cheap motorhomes around here. And land is cheap.
Same for me too. Thanks in advance!
I made a vanity thread, I deserve one anyway, its Thanksgiving. And to put conversation in a better place about kitties.
