For what it’s worth, I didn’t see obenyo’s post as an attack on us?
Are they really sticking their hands down people’s underpants nowadays, or is it like it’s shown on TV, where they feel the inner thighs up to the groin area, or are they genuinely touching genitals? I’m getting mixed info on what they’re doing, and some of it is probably bogus.
And is it true that they’re only doing the invasive stuff if somebody actually sets off the metal detector?
A credible alternative or a credible mode of travel?
What's hilarious about this whole debacle, is that it took nearly a year for the government to respond to a terrorist technique that has already been made officially announced as obsolete by the terrorists themselves when they began putting time-bombs on cargo planes last month. So, instead of addressing the imminent threat (i.e., finding a way to scan a much greater percentage of cargo), the Obama administration is going to subject us to TSA and his backscatter-buddy's hundreds of radiation booths set up in more than 70 airports. Meanwhile, a group of terrorists could go CLEANLY through these security measures and stop by the Duty Free shop to pick up their bottles of Vodka , aka, Molotov cocktail mix, before they board the plane.
This will continue until Big Sis has scan booths for trains, buses, malls, etc. It's absolutely f'ing insane.

Wanna bet! I quit flying in 2002 because of the hassle and it has gotten 100 times worse. Almost nothing could get me on a plane now. I know I am NOT the only one.
I used to fly 4-5 times a year. Now I drive. 10 hours one way tomorrow. Have driven as far as 18 hours. If I can’t drive, I don’t go.
