1) Glenn Beck has picked on this topic, HotAir has picked up on Becks report. Its bumped the story.
2) KCBS has released all of about 12 seconds of video, mislabeled as raw, to start this brouhaha. And clammed up since.
3) No matter which side you take on the event, you want to see the whole shoot, hopefully along with data on the location, altitude, timecode, camera, lens.
4) Glenn Beck has a bigger megaphone than we do.
5) Beck might be able to get the station to release the video.
What if we all contacted Beck with that request in the context of media malfeasance in not providing all the evidence they have?

Im there. We need to know if the media is withholding vital information or yanking our chains. Either way they ought to be held accountable.
We haven't gotten any traction on that idea yet but we sure ought to demand answers. From KCBS and from the government.
That’s an excellent idea. Why the tape embargo if “the science is settled”?
Demanding all the tape is a good idea. We need to pinpoint launch point, track direction, speed, and maximum altitude. Then we might get a rough approximation of splash point. Heck, even a slim chance we might recover some of it, assuming they have not recovered it already.
As I see it, there are two possible reasons why the whole video has not been released.
1-The gubberment asked them not to. The edited and cut section of footage that has been released got out before they asked them to not post the whole thing. If this is the case, the whole video is probably gone. The gubberment just got really lucky that KCBS chose to use no footage of the lingering smoke trail with the object disapearing off into the west in their report, and that they chose not to just stick all the uncut footage up on the web.
2-The whole video would not show boost stages and then 8-9 minutes of a lingering smoke plume. It would show a jet. A local CBS station manipulated the video to make traffic for their website and give the story legs. If this is the case, the whole video is probably gone, in order to save jobs and more black eyes for the CBS name.
