People with moles less prone to ageing

THE secret of supermodel Cindy Crawford's ageless allure may be out as British scientists have discovered that people with lots of moles are genetically protected from many of the ravages of time.
New research suggests they may not only develop fewer wrinkles in old age, but also have stronger bones and tauter muscles.
Moles or beauty spots - for which Crawford is famous - are formed by rapidly dividing cells that start producing dots of dark pigment on children as young as four, but which usually vanish from about the age of 40.
In some people, however, they continue to spread as they grow older, producing a smooth and wrinkle-free complexion that can make a woman look at least seven years younger than her real age.

I have over 100. About 12 of the more suspicious looking ones have been removed over the past 10 years; they were all considered “mildly atypical”. I get a skin exam ever 6 months.
And yes, nobody believes my age.

The real question is are they really not aging or are you so busy looking at their moles you don’t notice the wrinkles........

I have several moles as well, none on my face. At one time I thought it was a curse to look so much younger than my real age (thanking God and good genetics now).

It doesn't hurt to keep a few around, just in case. Mine also protect my house from the Wildebeest. Never have had a Wildebeest attack around here. You're welcome.

I have 2 and I had thought about having them removed but my mother and sister both did and had terrible scars, I figure the moles lood better. I had a lab tech with a rather prominent mole on her nose. Eventually, she went doctor shopping, found a doctor (a plastic surgeon) she was comfortable with, and went for a mole removal.
Despite the mole being on such a prominent part of her face, the removal left her without even a trace of a scar.

We generally get melanoma.
My mother got a melanoma on her back in 1978. She had two surgeries and has been cancer-free ever since.
Her oncologist told me at the time that since I have moles in the same places, I should stay out of the sun as much as possible, which I've done. So, 32 years later, at age 50, I look like I'm in my 30s, and my only wrinkles are some very minimal crows' feet. I get my moles checked out every six months by doctor, every month by mom (we check each other in a completely non-TSA sort of way).
