Singer Susan Boyle has notched up a notable double after her latest album - already number one in the UK - reached the top spot in the US as well.
It's a musical feat matched only by the Beatles and the Monkees and now the singing sensation has become the first woman to top the UK and US album charts twice in the same year.
The star says she's overwhelmed but delighted with her success, as David Sillito reports.

Boyle’s fan base is a demographic that has never embraced downloading and still buys CDs. Nonetheless, 10 million copies sold of her first CD is quite impressive. Those are big numbers these days.
It took me 60 years to find my gift and it is my blessing. I am so lucky that my path led in the direction it did.
Susan Boyle was very fortunate that she followed her own path for years and was able to sing as beautifully as she did. Her luck was in being discovered. She is an inspiration.
Good for her.
God bless her!
I’m listening to her new album now. I love it!
Don't be so sure of that. My youngest son tells me that all the kids of his age group (late teens) are devouring every Boyle MP3 and YouTube video they can access. Apparently she is quite the sensation with the kids these days.
Boyle’s good, but I hear Janey Cutler is coming to kick her butt.
I hadn’t listened to her since her competition. Some good stuff on youtube. She can do rock, gospel, jazz. She’s good.

Good.
I’m happy for her. This is exactly what she wanted in life, and she has the talent to sell. Best wishes all around.
Crazy that’s only been matched by the Beatles!
I liked her take on Perfect Day.
Good for her! She’s very talented...
although Hayley Westenra has become my personal #1 when it comes to looking for this cover of classics type stuff.
I almost bought her album today.... I think I will buy it just to spite the people who thought she couldn’t make it because she didn’t fit the “profile”....
One day that child will be singing at the Metropolitan Opera, or perhaps Nashville, her choice. I can only hope that as she grows older she gets the professional training to help her along the way. Great talent!
