Sarah Palin may not have the biggest fan in former first lady Barbara Bush.
"I sat next to her once. Thought she was beautiful," Barbara Bush said. "And she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there."
Bush, along with her husband, former President George H.W. Bush, spoke to CNN's Larry King in an interview set to air Monday.

Wow, so you’re attacking Mrs. Bush on the basis of the Graves’ Disease that she suffers from? That is low....
I don’t think Palin is electable.
If you want to see a second term for Hussein, just put her on the ticket. Simple as that. I believe she’s about the ONLY person he could win against at this point.
She’ll do great with the conservative base, but that’s about it. You can’t win with the conservative base alone. She won’t win PA, OH, or FL. How does she get to 270? Her candidacy simply won’t work for a national election. She would have done better to either stay on as Governor or run for Senate.
Sarah’s strong anti-illegal immigration stance no doubt repulses the globalist Bush clan.
I’m really disappointed in her for saying that. Even if she doesn’t approve of Palin’s candidacy, how very far from gracious to stay such a thing! And GHWB doesn’t know what to make of the TEA Party and can’t understand it? Really? Is it that complex? And Reagan was considered a dunce! Perhaps we have always lived in bizzarro world.
Yeah, maybe Bar is just a fan of Sarah’s TV show.
It’s hard to tell from just a brief excerpt here.
We know MSM would love to stir it up at every chance...
Bar-bar’s had an ego problem ever since they put her face on the one-dollar bill.
By 2012 they may wake up to a country that is ready for real change.
I doubt the voters will be waiting for approval from Barbara Bush.
Time for her to enjoy her grandchildren, and time for the voters to ignore her opinions.
I don't foresee waiting for her approval.
Sarah probably takes Barb’s comments with a grain of salt, considering that Barb’s opinion is from the perspective of an 80+ year old out-of-touch woman.
I cannot believe that one woman can terrorize left thinking people so!
RINO of course means socialist.
This is exactly why the liberal media give her so much publicity and whip up the slightest controversy. Personally, I think it's a toss-up as to whether Palin runs Republican or 3rd party. I think she'd like to avoid the debates...I also thought a Senate run was a good idea for her; she could learn a lot in that capacity.
They've around longer than Reagan though I'll grant you the Gipper did turbo charge them.
If all the out of office Bushes are going to refuse to go to bat for conservatism, the lease they could do is refrain from coming out against it.
Lord, have mercy on me and forgive me for getting steamed again. G.W. I am really sorry, but I hope you mother enjoys wherever she is, and stays there. Quietly.
I think Bar’s still pretty sharp. She was seen at the World Series games in Arlington keeping a scorecard; that is not an easy deal. Just sayin’....
Palin to Barbara Bush: Hey, you had your turn and did a fairly lousy job. Think I'll take my cue from the American people, not from those who remain out of touch with what America is all about.
That generation did some great things.
But; they did a lot of really bad stuff to our nation also. They started us on the road to the government overreach rot we are on today.
The destruction of our mainline churches also started on their watch.
Barbara Bush needs to know her place and stay out of politics.
Right Bush is a one worlder which makes him, I dare say, a nitwit.
