Former Gov. Mitt Romney, a likely GOP presidential candidate for 2012, told supporters he wont announce his candidacy before the end of the year but political analysts said yesterday the discussion is the strongest indicator yet that hell run.
We know who is running, theyre just doing everything but coming out and saying so, said Andy Smith, director of the Political Center at the University of New Hampshire.
Romney held a conference call with 245 of his top supporters Thursday and told them that unlike his failed 2008 run, he wont be announcing until later in the cycle, according to a Romney campaign source.

If that were actually the case then at one time our president was someone who was willing to kill to stay in office.
And yet somehow we stumbled through. We stumbled through the FDR presidency, the LBJ Great Society, the Carter debacle, etc.
At each time we were a bit worse off, but hope has never been completely lost.
0bamba might be incompentent, he might even have some nefarious plans to take us further to the left, or towards Islam, or towards Fascism, or whatever 'ism' he is supposedly following, but he is no ubermensch that is capable of turning this country into a dictatorship.
If by some miracle he actually does take over the country it will be because of all of the tools he was given by Bush (Carnivore, Homeland Security, Patriot Act, etc.)
I do not want to give Romney, the tool incarnate, the chance to provide future Democrat administrations with more tools with which to reinforce our chains. I've already seen what it's like to have Romney as a leader, however in California we called him Schwarznegger.
I am not a purist. I don't think we need someone who is 100% dyed in the wool conservative, but it would be nice if we could put up someone who represents at least the right-center of the Republican Party.
If 0bama was such a socialist, why is he so in bed with the bankers? The real danger we face is not socialism, but a corporate plutocracy papered over with a thin veneer of eurotrash chic.
If 0bama tries to go Chavez on our a**es, then Goldman-Sachs will go medieval on his campaign funds!
And I don't even know why we're even worrying about Romney in the first place.
He's too Mormon for the Fundies, and not Mormon enough for the Mormons. That's a twofer that no candidate can overcome.
Mitt set the template for NObama HELLTH care with the Massachussetts plan that HE signed.
That will haunt him to his grave.
As life-long Republican, I will NEVER vote for Mitt or Huckster.
I will send money to his opposition, even on FROZEN Social Security.
Bring it on Moron
Bring it on Mormon
If he runs in the primary, I’ll vote for someone else. If he makes it to the general, I’ll vote for someone else. Would that put President 0 back in the White House? Maybe. Would it matter? I doubt it. Romney is as much a socialist as Obama- Romneycare is conclusive evidence of that, aside from other things that indicate Romney is a Northeastern gun-grabbing liberal. If he won the general, he would in all probability govern just like his predecessor. Therefore, just say no to Northeastern gun-grabbing liberals. The Republican party needs to run someone that presents a distinct alternative to the Democommunists and that isn’t any of the establishment people.
