Or it COULD have been an honest mistake. Can you imagine how hard it must be to work at a ‘kill’ animal shelter to begin with? I have a very strong constitution and even I couldn’t do it!

Either way, it’s sad that a Good Dog had to die...

All of my pets through the years have been ‘Pound Found.’ I wouldn’t have it any other way. :)

Nobody likes doing it. The guys who work in the slaughter houses didn’t like killing the animals when they first started doing it but after a while you will build a hard spot on your heart that ensures you do it properly.

There is no way on God's green earth that I could work at a pound.

Having said that, I think that there should be a "hold until" date for each animal that comes in not counting weekends. That dog would have survived the weekend if that procedure had been in place and followed. I hope the guilty have to confront their conscience after a mistake of this kind!
