The million-dollar question among Dancing with the Stars fans these days? How did Bristol Palin make it into the season 11 finals?
"She deserves it," DWTS executive producer Conrad Green tells PEOPLE. "And a significant portion of our viewing audience believes that, too."

Speculation has arisen about whether members of the Tea Party, many of whom strongly support Bristol's mom Sarah Palin, are involved in an organized effort to promote Bristol.
On one conservative Web site, Freerepublic.com, some of the site's 300,000 registered users have recently used discussion threads to encourage votes for Bristol. One asked users to "make liberal heads explode and vote for Bristol" on Nov. 8 to advance her to the semi-finals.
But Jim Robinson, who founded the site, says there is no larger plan at work. "An organized conspiracy? I sincerely doubt that," he told PEOPLE. "The Tea Party's not that organized!"
And Green agrees that there's no stuffing of the virtual ballot-box, saying that the entire process text votes, call-in votes and email votes "is all overseen by the Broadcast Standards team, independent of us and the network to make sure that everything is absolutely done scrupulously."

Jem, just don't swoon!!!
Are we keeping the Paulestinans around for comic relief?!
WILL BE HAPPY TO PING JIM Mon & Tues for the finale!
Bah humbug!... it’s entertainment fun...with slight political overtones...and Free Republic’s Jim Thompson got the spotlight! Loving this!
LOL!
Well, if Jim and Todd ever get together, I make no promises. That would just be too much for my poor old heart to stand. Whew!!!!
THUDDD!
There isn’t a doubt in my mind he’s a swicth hitter.
There isn’t a doubt in my mind he’s a switch hitter.
Weird. I didn’t vote for Bristol and thought she have been off the 1st time I saw her dance.
She has only marginally improved through the season.
But there are people voting for her for some reason.
Now, put Sarah in for President 2012 and I will give until it hurts.
Go Sarah!
I think Dr.S. should ping Jim to her DWTS List and Ill merely ping Sarahs List to the thread for the finale!!

Sounds like a great plan.....LOL
Son got me a new computer (MAC) have been trying to figure out some things.
My husband and I have been watching, but we aren’t voting this year. Last year I voted for the Olympic skating champion because he’s cute, as well as talented. That’s how meaningless the voting is. I was hoping someone would put him in a remake of Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as I was born after Valentino died.
I think people have been voting for Bristol because she is the only nonprofessional on the show and has shown guts and lately has shown great improvement. No doubt that Brandy who she beat out this week was a better dancer, but I think the young viewers liked Bristol’s ‘Hey, this is fun’ attitude better and could identify with her more. And more of them wanted to see her again than wanted to see Brandy. Just a conjecture.
The votes are half the judge’s assessment and half the popularity poll by call in votes. You can’t call more than allowed from one phone. We were allowed 5 or 6 votes last year, then they cut us off with a “sorry, but...” This year I think one phone call records your five votes all at once so you don’t have to hit redial and they don’t have the lines jammed with multiple call ins.
Obama wasn’t the best person to be President, but got it with a majority vote.
Can we overturn that since the wrong person won?
There was a gal on Rushs show this week that said she voted for Bristol because she got $50k an episode (dont know if thats true) and that was her way of spreading the wealth.
FYI...
Initial guaranteed salary: $125,000. Then Bristol earned $10,000 per week for weeks 3 and 4. Each additional week she survived after that was worth an escalating bonus: $20,000 each for weeks 5-7; $30,000 each for weeks 8 and 9; and a whopping $50K each for weeks 10 and 11.In total, she will earn the maximum possible $365,000 for making it to the final show!
Additional details: A commitment to train around 20 hours per week, and a waiver releasing ABC and the show's producers from liability for any injuries connected to the show.
Live one! (at least we’re not having people vote from the grave yard!......or are we?))
