Pelosi: Boehner is 'known to cry' By Emily Goodin - 11/19/10 01:18 PM ET
Incoming Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said incoming Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is "known to cry."
"You know what? He is known to cry. He cries sometimes when we’re having a debate on bills. If I cry, it’s about the personal loss of a friend or something like that. But when it comes to politics — no, I don’t cry. I would never think of crying about any loss of an office, because that’s always a possibility, and if you’re professional, then you deal with it professionally," Pelosi (D-Calif.) told the New York Times magazine.
She noted: "I have deep emotions about the American people. If I were to cry for anything, I would cry for them and the policies that they’re about to face."
She was also asked about the differences between men and women in politics.
"I was the first woman speaker. It didn’t get that much play. And I’m not a publicity seeker, so it was OK with me. Boehner, before the election, they had him on the cover of Newsweek. Now he’s on the cover of Time, and women are coming to me and saying, 'Is the job less important when a woman holds it?'
"My point is that when a man holds the job, the press seems to view it as more worthy of that kind of attention. But when a woman — even though it was historic — holds the job, they view it as less important. We have to dispel the notion that it’s not as big a job when a woman has it," she said in a Q&A with the magazine.
She also defended her decision to run for minority leader: "Well, don’t forget that I led the party into the strong victories of ’06 and ’08. And now we are prepared to win again."
Of course she doesn’t cry. Evil, twisted, haggard witches who are minions of Satan are incapable of crying.
I know politicians hold grudges for a long time, but is Pelosi really doing a tit-for-tat over the brief ridicule she got from that moment?

Heck, I cry all the time.
I get choked up singing hymns in church, watching my child get her Honor Roll certificate or even reading a murder mystery.
I cry watching Frosty the Snowman.
I guess some people just have emotions, some don’t.
Men can’t win with feminist b!tches. (But that’s redundant.)
They complain that men don’t show emotion, express their feelings and they complain when men do.

Some people are cryers. Some are not. Some are inbetween.
It’s not really something one can help. I don’t hold it against anyone, whether they are, or not.
OTOH, I despise “fake”criers (manipulators), and I don’t like people that scoff at real ones.
That's GREAT!!! The more her sourpuss face and bitchy voice shows up on the tv screens, the more this county is reminded just why it went for the conservative Tea Party last Nov 2nd. She will be the icon that keeps the rally going into 2012.
Didn’t Peelousy get all choked up when she was talking about the how the violent Tea Party protests reminded her of violent protests in the 1970’s?
That’s because unlike Nancy, he has a soul...
I thought it moving that he recognized the tremendously important event that just happened, that he truly “gets it.”
It also showed he is a man of compassion and heart, certainly something the democrat MSM would never, ever report on any conservative or republican.
He spoke from the heart and that is what the tears showed.
