Mediaite has learned Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity are being dropped from their Philadelphia radio station, WPHT 1210 (The Big Talker), in January.
The station is a CBS affiliate, and Philadelphia is the fourth largest radio market.

Given that these are two of the highest rated talk guys in the biz, it only makes sense if they’re ditching the talk format completely and going to something different, which happened to one of our talk stations here in D.C.
Some other station will pick them up. This is what is known as “suicide by cancellation” in the media. They will lose this audience to their competition. Too bad.
Sounds like a great opportunity FOR ANOTHER STATION!
I would love to hear them on FM and/or satellite.
It irks me when I lose signal driving around
Makes one wonder George is that you?.
Soros/Obama on the march to destroy freedom of speech?
Maybe they going Spanish in Philly
That what happen to Glenn Beck old radio station here in LA it went all Spanish
Sean is a little light on original content except for a month before the election.
Maybe they can air reruns from Air America, a sure ratings grabber.
Same thing happened with Rush here, it was cancelled WRKO 640 AM and picked up AM 1200 who changed their name to “Rush Radio” and are now > WRKO. I only listen to RKO for Howie Carr now.
Unbelievable! Here, Redskins owner and all-around creep Dan Snyder turned it into an all-Redskins station to go along with the other three all-Redskins stations we already had.
Both will be far better with an FM station with power, rather than on a crummy AM station. The East Coast is horrible for AM radio anyway, especially at night.
Is this the “hand-to-hand combat” conservatives were warned about?
The communists are running scared that the truth is getting out and their cushy empire is about to crumble.
They are going with cheaper local talent. Besides, Hannity is awful. Beck is the best thing on radio along with Rush and Levin.
It turned out that the station didn't want to lose Rush. He had decided to set up his own network on FM -- Rush Radio. Beck, Hannity and Rush moved to this new format. The poor AM station lost their best shows.
I would bet the same thing is happening in this case.
They are staying in the talk media. Obama loving Michael Smerconish will be on 3-6 and some guy out of KC will be in Beck’s spot.
Wow, that’s just nuts. This obviously is just politics, because it sure isn’t smart business.
Beck and Hannity are both on satellite.
