I just don’t understand why people are so upset. How about just ignoring Sarah Palin, since she’s not even a candidate at this point.

Imho, they have an agenda, which involves the support of another candidate whose aspirations are threatened by Sarah’s growing popularity.

I'd agree, in order to avoid the obvious press counter-attack (or journalistic front, as Rush would say) of someone declaring a "Palin bubble" and saying "she's *so* 2008, we need fresh blood, not someone who couldn't even beat Obama"...

but to my mind, this is outweighed by the advantages of "sucking all of the oxygen out of the room" for the other candidates.

I need to buy her new book and review it for FR, btw....
