President Obama and his friends in the media want the public to think Americans serving in uniform are just fine and dandy with homosexual conduct in the military. This view is being spread through a series of selective leaks from the Pentagon's Comprehensive Review Working Group, which is putting the finishing touches on a report regarding the future of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
Mr. Obama has promised the fringe special-interest activists who helped him win the 2008 election that he will deliver what for them is the symbolic victory of opening barracks to lesbians, gays, bisexuals and the transgendered (LGBT). Last week, the Supreme Court rejected an attempt to use the courts to bypass the legislative process to implement this radical change. After the big GOP win in the elections, ramming the LGBT priority through the lame-duck Congress appears to be the sole remaining option - and an unlikely one at that.
To improve the odds, anonymous sources have been claiming to the administration's newsroom allies that 70 percent of troops wouldn't object to overturning the long-standing ban on homosexual conduct, citing draft versions of the Pentagon survey. The spin makes it sound as if the troops are fully behind Mr. Obama's campaign pledge.
Those who know better say this reporting has created a false impression. "I looked very closely at the stories," working group co-chairman Jeh C. Johnson wrote in an Oct. 30 e-mail obtained by The Washington Times. "It seemed obvious to me that whoever spoke to the press was not very familiar with the actual results...

So, just create an all gay Army division. They can be used for gay parades and NAMBLA protection squads.

Cannon Fodder
Excellent to see the Wash Times editors really come out swinging on this. This crap needs to be stopped dead in its tracks.
The enemedia will NOT report this, hopefully Fox News will.
Rainbow uniforms?
I was one of the people selected to take the DoD survey, and I can tell you it is slanted towards giving a favorable view of gays in the military with slanted questions and no real opportunity to object to the repeal of DADT. The only opportunity I had to voice my objection and experience with gay service members was in a small text block.
In addition, the survey was sent to me by name and there was a specific code number attached to my response. I didn’t, therefore, have much confidence in my anonymity. I didn’t really give a damn, but I can see where people who hoped to gain positions of command would be reluctant to give their real point of view if they knew that some day they could be punished for their responses.
I’ve served with gays, and some were OK, but usually there was no way you could tell them apart from anyone else. For those more flamboyant, I found there was a high correlation of neuroticism which translated into very poor leadership.
Anyone who has ever been in the military and deployed into situations where everyone lives under stress and in very close quarters, with no opportunity for privacy or relief, and no way to just quit and walk away, realizes there is no realistic way to integrate openly gay people into this environment.
You are the second military Freeper that I have seen that has said that about the questionnaire. Wish I could remember who else said it. Maybe LJ remembers.
If this is forced on US Troops, they will vote with their feet and leave the service. There are plenty of people on Active Duty in all of the Services who feel strongly about this, will not put up with it and will refuse to reenlist or resign.
Thank you for your post and your insight into this, binreadin!
I’ve no doubt at all you’re correct. It’s very, very sad!
It figures Berry wants to push this through since he’s a pillow biting rump raider too.
Cultural Marxism in motion to destroy Christianity and the natural family—the two pillars that made this country the greatest. If you give special rights to a sexual behavior, men will no longer be able to condemn or disparage the homosexual acts that will be done in the barracks. They destroy Christian religion in a single swoop....by outlawing the Bible as hate speech since the behavior will have to be condoned. (No freedom of religion in the military). Soldiers will be forced into reeducation camps to correct any Christian-Judeo world view of thinking and the buggery of boys will begin just as in ancient Rome and Greece and as in mooslim countries like Afghanistan and ancient Japan which not only condoned homosexuality, but elevated it to special status.
This promotion is to destroy America by ruining all its institutions, such as family, marriage, and Christianity. It is intentional by the homosexual, mooslim in chief because this nation was founded on Natural Law Theory and thus was based in logic, reason and science. Now we are leaving all logic and going with “feelings” and moral relativism. It will transform this nation into a pagan hellhole. God help America!
I’m not sure that they would considering they consider Shep Smith untouchable (not to mention O’Bozo and Juan Williams, rush to uphold gay “rights.”)
We are sending good, young men off to serve our country. A number of them are former boy scouts with good moral codes.
I believe Obama really wants to destroy our military, because our good, young men are not going to want to serve.
Do the armed services really want this monkey on their back?
I'm just sayin'.
Brokeback Barracks............Aptly named!
There's no way I'll ever believe that the vast majority do.
Of course there'll always be a few high ranking officers that are climbers in an administration like Zer0's that will push his agenda, one of them is Army Lt. Gen. Bostich and then of course Adm. Mullen.
Bostich = Bostick
Sick!
This commies are getting sicker and sicker with each passing day....
What parent in their right mind would support their l8 year old son or daughter going into the service with these freaks!
