Sen. Boxer Compares U.S. to Iran, North Korea and Pakistan Over Military Ban on Homosexuality

(CNSNews.com) - During a news conference on Thursday pushing for repeal of the law that bans homosexuals from serving in the military, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) compared the United States with Iran, North Korea and Pakistan.

According to Boxer, the United States is similar to those regimes because of a federal law (10, USC 654) that does not allow homosexuals to join the U.S armed forces.

“We now stand with this rule with countries like Iran, North Korea and Pakistan in banning gays and lesbians from military service,” said Boxer. “Our brave young men and women fight alongside allies like Australia, the United Kingdom and others who allow gays and lesbians to serve openly. Let’s not stand with Pakistan and with North Korea and Iran.”

The law in question, as CNSNews.com reported previously, is Title 10, U.S. Code Subsection 654. This law states: “The prohibition against homosexual conduct is a long-standing element of military law that continues to be necessary in the unique circumstances of military service.”

It also says that a “member of the armed forces shall be separated from the armed forces if one or more of the following findings is made and approved in accordance with procedures set forth in such regulations.”

These include: “That the member has engaged in, attempted to engage in, or solicited another to engage in a homosexual act or acts ...

“That the member has stated that he or she is a homosexual or bisexual, or words to that effect …

“That the member has married or attempted to marry a person known to be of the same biological sex.”

Boxer appeared alongside Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), an Independent who caucuses with the Democrats and who is a prime sponsor of the measure to repeal Title 10, USC 654, which is attached to a Defense authorization bill that passed in the House of Representatives but has yet to pass in the Senate.

President Barack Obama is pressuring Congress to repeal the law in the final weeks of the 111th Congress and before the Republican-dominated House of Representatives comes into power next year. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has stated that he will bring the measure to the floor after Thanksgiving.

“As soon as I get my pee-pee out of your poo-poo, let’s fire our ‘guns’.’’

What a mess. What to do if a homosexual shares your foxhole?

Not everyone in California voted for this disgusting woman. There are many good people there who are fighting against this.

And a special thanks to those who wouldn’t vote for Fiorina because she wasn’t conservative enough.

Wasting no time reminding us how stupid CA voters are for having re-elected her. What a puke.

The states hispanics, many of the recent arrivals, voted for Boxer by a 30% margin, while white, dumbasses & all, preferred Fiorina by 9%.

Ergo, it was the Open Border Idiots who inflicted this moronic midget upon the nation.

Boxer exhibits those two qualities I most abhor in a politician......ignorance and arrogance......

The high population areas (SF, LA, coast) with their high populations of east coast emmigrants, vote reliably “D” no matter who the candidate......hence politicians like Boxer......(those emmigrants who claim to be “Republican” are people with views similiar to PA’s Arlen Spector, Graham, Snowe, and Collins......yeap....RINO’s......Going inland is where you start to find the real Californian.....people like Tom MacClintock and Dan Lungren, who I rank up there with the Pences, Duncan Hunters, and DeMitts of the nation.....

Yes, there are solid big C Conservatives in California, just not enough to overcome the knee jerk/always vote D inbiciles on the coast......

Hey! California haters.....wanna cleanup California?.......Encourage and take your relatives back home....tomorrow would be nice! Maybe they could help you shovel snow this year!

And yet, you apparently moved to Seattle. Please tell me what the difference is between California and Seattle, other than the weather? Seattle is responsible for electing the only person in the senate more stupid than Barbara Boxer: Patty Murray. Take Seattle out of the equation, and there is no way Patty Murray ever would have been elected in the first place. The woman’s IQ is below freezing.

Couldn’t have said it better. I wonder if these jerks would think about the comparison to Iran if they actually lived there? I swear some words are better not spoken, and that saying applies directly to this Barbara Boxer and her holier than thou attitude she waves in just about everyone’s face, like the soldier who said yes ma’am to her last year. I swear, I’m glad that my only time seeing her is on TV, it’s a real shame that she is elected to be her own state’s senator, given all the rediculous things she’s said.

military service is a privilege, not a right.

I would likewise say that marriage by itself is not a right either, not in the way that an attorney is a right, anyways.
