"Not only are these porno scanners a gross violation of individual privacy," said boycott co-founder George Donnelly, "they're also a threat to the health of millions of passengers and ineffective as well. The goal of the demonstrations is to urge Americans to exercise their legal right to 'opt out' of the scan."
If you have to fly on November 24, We Won't Fly urges you to opt out of the new scanners for your own health and privacy. Say "I opt out!" Be prepared for delays and intimate TSA "patdowns." If you're not flying on November 24, We Won't Fly urges you to tell your friends, family and community members who are flying. Organizers of local meetups can list their events on our nationwide map at http://WeWontFly.com/opt-out-day.
As University of California scientists noted earlier this year, the airport scanners may pose a serious health risk. "Our overriding concern is the extent to which the safety of this scanning device has been adequately demonstrated. This can only be determined by a meeting of an impartial panel of experts that would include medical physicists and radiation biologists at which all of the available relevant data is reviewed," they said in a letter of concern.

Good idea. I also think people should wear one of those mats they put on you at the dentist's office when you get Xrays.
And tell the TSA agents that the government won't spend the money to buy radiation equipment for TSA agents because the government wants to expose them to radiation so they become sterile.
Sick individual.
Check out #31.
Bizarre.
I have been radioactively strip searched or manually groped by TSA agents at seven airports from El Paso, TX to Boston, MA and from Pensacola, FL to Chicago, IL. And all within a two week period.
Perhaps you should consider that your situation may not be representative of the experience other travelers are facing.
Then as a freeper, most likely conservative, please answer where you will draw the line on intrusiveness and unconstitional searches and seizures?
There is a reason for that being in the constitution.
If these threads offend you, then why are you posting on them?
Please answer both questions in a civil debate.
I think this is an intentional act to drive the airline and tourist industry into the ground.
California likes Ma’am Boxer.
Ethics Rangel was re-elected in a landslide.
Nevada unions love Reid.
Chuzzlewit loves government agents with rubber gloves.
What can we say?
Oops, meant #39 on this thread.
Sorry about that.
Why is my post bizarre?
Oh, ok, now I see.
Yeah. I saw that too. No accounting for taste...or principles.
I have 2 daughters, yeah, so what?
None of which prevents you from being wrong on this issue.
you people are acting like children, in my opinion.
Please refrain from personal attacks in your responses. It violates Free Republic policies.
So can you put a sign in your britches that can be read by these “scanners” that might have some pithy comment or suggestion?
I can think of several....
they might touch my privy parts?
how about you people getting some perspective.

You tell 'em. What kind of homo would object to another man touching his private parts?
Grr, sorry about that.
I think this is an intentional act to drive the airline and tourist industry into the ground.

Sorry, dad, when I was about 9, before I had breasts, some fat kid came up behind me and felt my chest. I was violated then, and it pisses me off now.
I AM GLAD YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER.
And cut-n-paste at that.
It’s okay, I saw your correction. Mine was the post responded to.
