Yep, when someone says “that’s racist”, make them define what racism is.
It is the belief that certain “races” (a myth in and of itself) are genetically superior or inferior to others.

When you criticize cultures and behaviors, that has NOTHING to do with genetic inferiority or superiority, and therefor cannot be racist.
The accusation of “racism” is used to deflect legitimate criticism of behaviors or cultural tendencies, which NEED to be addressed if we’re to actually improve our society.

Absolutely spot-on commentary, MrB!

I have absolutely no belief that I am racially superior to anyone else. There are massive cultural rifts between blacks and whites right now, but that doesn’t make either race “racist.” If Limbaugh was up there preaching that blacks don’t know what they’re doing or that they’re incompetent and have no business in government, Sheila Jackson-Lee might have a case.

By simply castigating the president for his socialist views, one does not become a racist. I’m sick and tired of hearing the word and hope that we’ll see it abandoned going forward.

Absolutely. The term has become so fluid as to have no real meaning. Not to mention it is used as a slur and a one way slur in and of itself.
