Thanks. Interesting post. I was suspicious of this guy who attacked Steele while resigning, and I looked him up. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, what I found was that he was an operative for Mitt Romney. He also worked for Juan McCain.
He is, IMHO, not a good guy who is leaving in disgust, but a rat abandoning a sinking ship. I think the problem with Steele is that he was surrounded by corrupt establishment operatives, and was given his job on condition that he work with them, business as usual.
Steele has been behaving better these past few months. The problem runs a good deal deeper than just Steele.
One of the stranger resignation letters I have seen in my time.
The behind-the-scenes RINOs stripped Steele of any spending or distribution powers, and left him as simply a fund-raising front man.
Now we find out that Romney people were actually deciding who got support, and who got shafted. This explains why conservative candidates nationwide got stiffed by the RNC.
I don't care much for Steele, but them's the facts.
The RINO elite has got to **go**.
These elitists miss the point of the Republican gains...the Tea Party groups who brought out the vote and supported conservative candidates. Steele did not lift a finger to help, and continually bashed tea party Republicans, supporting the candidates we were trying to get rid of. I was so angry I sent a couple emails that probably got me off the list, as I no longer receive them. They didn’t want to hear what I have to say? Fine. Not one dime to the RNC, ever again, until conservatism is restored to the party. They lost us conservative folks this election cycle. We put our money into the coffers of the individual campaigns, and unfortunately, they didn’t all win. But many did. We had a better showing, I’d say. I think this is really the thing that gripes them the most. They lost their leverage, but they cannot see it!
