I am constantly seeing her heralded as having a lot in common with Reagan. I have asked someone to articulate what those things are. Aside from comparisons of Obama to Carter, I don’t see a lot.

Friend, if you don't see the similarities between Reagan and Palin for yourself, or have not read where others have articulated their similarities, then all I can say, is that you simply haven't been tuned in.

I'm not trying to be invalidative, but it does boil down to observation.

There have been countless, well articulated posts on FR, that have provided the side-by-side comparisons you seek, as well as a great many articles that illuminate the answers to your question. Spend a day searching on Palin threads here, and I'm sure you'll find everything you're looking for.

If you're already a student of Reagan, then read Palin's book to fill in your substance gap about her.

Again, Reagan and Palin aren't identical. No two people are. But, Palin shares more important attributes with Reagan than any politician we've seen since his time. It's no more complicated than that.

I will do a search. I am really not trying to be a jerk. I hope you appreciate that.

What I have seen on these threads in the past is that “she is a great american.” That kind of tripe is what I hear on Hannity’s radio show, and it means nothing.

I appreciate your reasoned responses.

Hopefully, I can be a convert. And you know that converts are the best marketing for your product!
