Gallup has Palin’s favorables at 80%, Rasmussen at 82%, as far as Barbour, he made it clear that he sup[ports the unilateral surrender on social issues that Daniels calls a “truce”. I have noticed that a lot of the anti_Palin people are the weak on social issues “conservatives”, it sounds like you fall into that category.

November 12, 2010 Gallup-”Now that the 2010 midterms are over, the big question swirling around Palin is whether she will run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Given her high name recognition and broad popularity among Republicans, 80% of whom now view her favorably, she is clearly in a strong position to seek it.”

“GOP Primary Voters Like Palin Best, With Romney, Huckabee Close Behind
Friday, November 05, 2010 They’re the leading contenders for now for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, and, perhaps not surprisingly, they’re the best liked of 14 top party players among likely GOP primary voters.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of those voters finds that 82% have a favorable opinion of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the party’s vice presidential nominee in 2008, while just 17% view her unfavorably. That includes 50% with a Very Favorable opinion and eight percent (8%) with a Very Unfavorable one.
Seventy-nine percent (79%) have favorable views of both Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts, and ex-Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. Seventeen percent (17%) hold an unfavorable opinion of the two men who ran unsuccessfully for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008.”

Sounds like a Romney dream come true for, conservatives take out the woman that can beat him, and is ahead of him, while fantasizing that something better will emerge, like a charismatic conservative on a white horse, that isn’t a woman.

...in the areas where they are not ‘similar’ Palin holds the strong advantage.

That may be true, or it may just be a matter of perception or personal consideration. Not sure where I stand on that. I'd have to think on it.

I'm not sure that it even matters all that much. The Founding Fathers were distinctly different personalities, and had their own individual strengths and weaknesses, but we revere them all, because where it really counted, they were all of the same mind, temperament, and conviction.

I believe those things are what are most important between Palin and Reagan, as well.

The sad thing is that if she goes up against Romney, Romney will likely win because we didn’t put up a better real conservative.

That’s what I want to avoid, but I’ll just come back to this thread in 2 years and one of us will say I told you so.

If Jim wants this to be a Palin forum he should change the domain name. Sometimes the groupthink here is almost as bad as the left.

Yeah, most of us scoff at Gingrich, he is something of a buffoon and he seems to be having difficulty finding a place to fit in, that Scozzafava thing was typical for the Newt of today, he is a figure that burned out years ago.

Shhhh..... don't tell that to Hannity. He still reveres Newt as an Olympian god of the Republican party.

"ABC News/Washington Post Poll. Oct. 25-28, 2010. N=1,202 adults nationwide."

Shirley, you jest.

You cite a poll from the beating heart of the liberal MSM that polled "adults" (anyone who can fog a mirror), as proof that Sarah Palin is unelectable?

Heh....you're stretchin' there, Hank.

I'll bet you didn't dig into that "poll" to find out whether they contacted "adults" in both blue and red districts, now did'ya?

Seriously.....

The good thing is that she appears to the one that can defeat the Romney machine, she is currently ahead of him among the primary voters.

Conservatives are ahead on this one.

The ad speaks for itself. I don’t understand why she would want to be part of it.

Palin is the best.

Anything less than Palin is failure.

She has demonstrated her superiority to all that care to know, and those unaware will remain in the same ignorance that they have cherished for their entire lives.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t lead a slug anywhere. Best to just pour salt on them.

Do you prefer Morton, or sea salt?

Everything is a matter of perception or personal consideration.

On one hand there is the perception of those that share Sarah’s insights from the Holy Spirit, and on the other hand you have the eternally lost that think that they don’t need him.

None of these other kids were promoted and publicized by their parents. Sarah even wrote about Levi in her latest book. That’s only going to make things worse.

What do you mean "promoted and publicized", and since when was Chelsea Clinton not recognized and acknowledged by her parents during their public lives.

If you weren’t such a bitter troll, you would see the value of an abstinence message. You really do need to talk to someone.

The point is, the entire media with lone exceptions of Fox, talk radio and a newspaper or two will focus like a laser on anything that makes her look bad

Sorry, but no one is perfect. We have to stop looking for perfect and unite around a likable, capable person who agrees with the great majority of our core beliefs. Palin has two great advantages the others don’t have, even if they matched her on values, which they don’t. She has a political instinct that even surpasses Clinton and Reagan and she understands how to use the media like no one else I’ve seen. That’s a recipe for victory.

There just isn’t a lot of evidence of intellectual curiousity there.

In other words, you believe what the media (and the McCain handlers) have told you about her. Sorry, I listen to her speak and read what she has to say...and I come to the exact opposite conclusion. Sarah Palin has a better grasp of where we are as a nation and what we need to do than anybody else. Reagan would be proud...

But we can do so much better.

Like...who?

Please, let's not let the media pick our candidate again...

Wisconsin , Michigan, and Pennsylvania might go red next time. Colorado seems to have turned blue, and probably will get bluer as the Californians flew the Mexican influx.

No, Palin is not an intellectual. Neither was Calvin Coolidge, who could read Greek. Intellectuals think like Frenchmen.

I don’t know about others. I’m supporting DeMint or Christie, both of whom can articulate their positions much more eloquently.
