In first claim of invasion, military drill spokesman says planes were intercepted by Iranian jets
Associated Press Published: 11.17.10, 11:32 / Israel News
Iran says that unidentified foreign planes violated its air space six times as the country kicked off an air defense drill, but that they were intercepted and forced back by Iranian jets.
The remarks by Gen. Hamid Arjangi, a spokesman for the exercise, are the first Iranian claim of an intrusion. His comments were carried Wednesday by the semi-official Fars news agency.
Arjangi says Iran's radar stations and observation posts reported six cases of foreign planes entering the air space during the exercise.

Did Iran use the planes with lawn chairs to chase them off?
LOL
Sure this happened. /s

If the USAF ever goes after Iran, they won't know what hit them. My guess is that the "foreign aircraft" are most likely purely imaginary. If the Iranians are conducting an exercise you can bet your bippy that the USAF is conducting intelligence gathering.

Somebody better alert these dolts that it is migration season again.
Iran’s goal is to create world chaos.
Nuclear-tipped missiles would be the best way to achieve it.
I wonder if people in Esfahan, Bushehr, and/or Natanz heard any loud booms during this time?
We have a F-22 missing as of this morning.

What?
An F-22 from Elmendorf lost contact with ATC last night and they haven’t found it. :-(

The Iranians are always holding military exercises, yet this is the first time in recent memory I recall them alleging their airspace was violated. I imagine this was for real. Either USAF gathering intel during their exercises or the French making a point because they are pissed off about the incident at their Tehran embassy.

“Humm. Not making the lamestream yet.”
I doubt it would. Probably take a downed Iranian or USAF aircraft for it to make the news over here. However, it has made the MSM in Israel. All their major news outlets are carrying the story.
