A narcissist, such as Obama, might seem intellectually superior, and most are not actually dumb, but being "superior" is a perception unknowing people often have about individuals who have lived their lives in a narcissistic fog. Those who do not understand narcissism and how cunning and charming a narcissist has learned to become (out of necessity for their own low self esteem) are easily fooled into believing that the afflicted narcissist is highly confident, perceptive, and able of great accomplishments. In fact, just the opposite is true in most cases.
Obviously Jarrett, in her sheltered exposure to this type of person, and her desire to use him for political purposes to advance her own (and those of Soros and others of her ilk) socialistic goals, found Obama an easy and appealing "face" to put forth. Initially she was probably charmed by him. Then she manipulated him by being an eternal provider of the attention he craves,and in doing so, became a trusted ally and confidant. She knew that due to his bi-racial background, his ability to appear and speak convincingly, and the guilt laden feelings of the American people, the time was right for such a candidate to serve as a puppet for their anti-American movement.
The thing is, pathological narcissists are not only NOT superior intellectually, but they are excessively gullible. That is because they are so needy and require constant adoration, and if they are getting that feedback, they will continue to do whatever it takes to remain satisfied emotionally by the supply of praise that others provide to them. Actually, a narcisist is a great target for the unethical salesperson, whether they are selling shoes, or political policies. If a narcissist is getting praise, they do not see any faults in a person or people (or their ideas or objectives) who are smoozing them and making them feel good. To keep getting that supply, a narcissist will always remain dependent and, unfortunately if the praise is coming from someone with an evil agenda, the narcissist is most willing to be used. They just don't see it as being "used" they feel they are the "users." It is a strange, conflicted circle of dependency and manipulation that is the world of the narcissist.
With their practiced skills at deception (practiced to the professional level) a narcissist can continually amaze and stupify the unknowing, keeping them close by and in their fog so they can feed off the adoration. But, when someone does not provide them those "warm fuzzies," or becomes a threat in any manner...they dispose of them faster than we would throw out three day old fish. And they do so with no regrets, whatsoever.
It is not that Obama "reads people well," it is that he is extremely sensitive to anyone who does not meet his needs and only considers those who do remain adoring as his friends. Narcissists have no real perception about people. Rather they have a fear of anyone not supplying them their narcissistic fix. They need people to love them so much that they will go to any lengths to discredit and remove those who do not provide that drug of attention.
And it is not great leadership skills, or intense understanding that narcissists possess - it is the additional need to be considered "somebody," no matter what that somebody is - as long as the narcissist is on top and being applauded. A narcissist just cannot stand being considered ordinary or common.
Obama's need for attention just happened to catapult him into politics. In his case, his rise to fame was simply a result of timing, not of recognition for anything great or amazing that he had done. He was picked up and used by those who saw he would be a good tool. But, if it had not been politics, he would have been just as emotionally satisfied to be the top clown in a circus. As long as a narcissist achieves the level of being adored, they don't care what they are doing, really. This is why Obama is so bad for our country in his position in the White House. He does not really care about the job, or its duties, our country, or the people. He is absolutely uninterested in problems and real resolution of them. He only cares that he has been and will be recognized for something,and his focus and goal is only on seeming important and unique.
But, when it comes to performance, and doing the hard work, a narcissist can't ever walk the walk. They simply fold under pressure, look to blame others for any and all failures, and whine continually if they feel they are not being appreciated for the minimal effort they have extended.
The man who the unknowing sheep of America elected as president is a classic, text book example of everything that a pathological, malignant narcissist is. And he has, along with the media and his supporters, hoodwinked this country into believing all the lies that have been cooked up to put him in power. Unfortunately - That is his only accomplishment.
