Obama Advisor: "He is bored to death and too talented for ordinary people"
Pittsburgh Live ^ | November 15, 2010 | Ralph Reiland

In his biography of Obama, "The Bridge," David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, quotes White House senior adviser and longtime Obama friend Valerie Jarrett: "I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary. He knows exactly how smart he is. ... He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability -- the extraordinary, uncanny ability -- to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually. ... So what I sensed in him was not just a restless spirit but somebody with such extraordinary talents that had to be really taxed in order for him to be happy. ... He's been bored to death his whole life. He's just too talented to do what ordinary people do."

Talk about a "yes man" -- or a devotee woman. The boss is so "extraordinary," so above the "ordinary" man, that he's been long-term bored to death -- untaxed, unhappy, uncanny and unchallenged.

And now unappreciated -- simultaneously called "pathetic" and "tone-deaf," respectively, by the left in The Progressive and the right in The Washington Times.

Turns out that Jarrett's wrong -- there's nothing "extraordinary" about Obama's talent in reading people or understanding economics.

“Obama Advisor: “He is bored to death and too talented for ordinary people”

He thinks he is too talented. The truth is that he is Chance The Gardner.

I was just thinking. Theodore Roosevelt was possibly the most intelligent man to be president. I am sure he was the only man who ever won the Pulitzer Prize, Nobel Prize and Medal of Honor.

He loved being around ordinary people like soldiers, cowboys etc.

BTW, he won the Nobel Prize for ending the Russo-Japanese war, not just for accomplishing nothing but “hey we think Obama will do great things so lets just give him the award.”

"My guess would be that Jefferson and maybe TR were the most intelligent presidents."

I once saw an article somewhere that had John Quincy Adams rated as the most intelligent. I'm just throwing it out there, and cannot defend it. (It also had John F. Kennedy among the least intelligent, with a tested I.Q. of 119.)

The same people behind getting him elected President are grooming him for Permanent Secretary General of the UN.

And then King of the Universe.

Pardon my edit.

LOL, indeed.

Isn't this the same kind of gobbledy-goop they exuded about Bill Clinton? Extraordinary. So above us. What is the need of some on the left to deify their leadership? Will they run out of superlatives to describe them? /s

Just cause Obama is some super intellectual doesn’t mean I have to lower myself to his level.

I think all the early presidents were either geniuses or very close to it. I am not a fan of Lincoln but he was smart. Same thing for Wilson. Taft and TR were both brilliant.

I think maybe Truman, FDR, Eisenhower, and Reagan were not brilliant but intelligent. Reagan had all the right instincts and was the best president of the last 100 years but he was far from perfect. He did have guts tho.

Obama is definitely a lightweight. He and Jimmy Carter will go down as the two worst tho Jimmy technically was intelligent, he unlike Reagan had all the wrong instincts.

So much drivel for such a little man. The guy needs an electronic device for “reading” speeches that someone else wrote for him. The only thing this guy can state from the heart are the verses from Mao’s little red book or writings from Karl Marx and V. Lenin.

Too bad for Barky that the event horizon for this black a-hole’s malignant narcissism doesn’t extend beyond the White House.

Oh man, I have worked alongside some very talented people in my life, having worked in broadcast media, and advertising and have never met a truly talented person who was ever, and I mean, ever bored.
