But they have phased out the use of “Scalp ‘Em.”

What do you suppose our 'chop' symbolizes?!

Only one group of Indians -- the Seminoles -- successfully resisted removal from their lands and they did so fiercely. 1st Seminole War, 2nd Seminole War, 3rd Seminole War. Three strikes and you’re out. The Seminoles place in history was assured as the only American Indian tribe never to have signed a peace treaty with the United States Government.

So Proud ‘Fighting Sioux’ is an insult?

Wow.

I would counter that the NCAA could accidentally be construed to mean No College for African Americans.

It’s time they changed their initials damn it. How racist can you get?

Since the World Series ended my sports consumption is way down. Usually, I have football on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

I don't know if I've watched a quarter -- and I mean cumulatively -- this year.

Joseph would still likely fight the NCAA to stop the elimination of Indian history and presence in the US.

When I wuz a kid the BSA were quite Indian centric, promoting the good parts of the cultures.

They should adopt the ‘Invading Illegal Immigrants’ as their mascot. No one on the left will dare speak ill of that choice.

Chief Joseph and leaders like him were MEN.

Something most American politicians of the day would never understand.

The school should find a tribe that will support them and just use that name and keep all the Indian related stuff.

The Sioux nation should take some of their casino money and sue the NCAA for discrimination.

They should just rename to The Mighty Sioux. How can that be considered hostile or abusive?

Whats next all states that have names that are indian deriviatives will have to change them too. North Dakota, South dakota, Wiconsin, Minnesota, Iowa (Idiots Out Wandering Around - is apt though).

What is next going after professional sports teams. Okay go after Green Bay - in French it means bay of stinking water.

Come now PC run amok. More BS from the liberalization of america. hey I like traveling through the land of 10,000 Lakes. Yes, at times the city by the bay truly does have stinking water. I mean the people of Green Bay may become offended by its French deriative. Next they will say Chicago will have to change its name from the Bulls and Bears, because it is offensive to animals - (deriative the stock market). The Dolphins next, Marlins after that Sun Devils too. PC correctness needs to stop. The Sioux Indian Nation has an honored tradition. Pretty soon in Wisconsin they will make the cities change there names from indian deritives Tomahawk, Wisconsin what will that become. How about Oconomowoc? Milwaukee? Waukesha? or in Michigan Hell Michiagn will have to change its name because it is offensive to some. How about Intercourse PA, does that offend some and lastly Spread Eagle Wisconsin in Florence County is that offensive to the eagles or does it have a sexual connection. PC correctness will screw over the names that have become offensive to whom. Take pride in your history and tell the PC rowd to drop their drawers and slide across a frozen lake.

Image if all the towns, states, rivers, etc. had to be changed.
