(Friday Church News Notes, November 12, 2010, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) -
In a joint appearance on Fox News with Geraldine Ferarro on Election Night 2010, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin called those who believe mothers should stay at home with their children Neanderthals. She said: There are still the Neanderthals out there, who pick on the petty little superficial meaningless things like looks, like whether you can or cant work outside of the home if you have small children. All those type of things where I would so hope that at some point, uh, those Neanderthals, will evolve into something a bit more, um, with it, a bit more modern, and a bit more understanding that, yeah, woman can accomplish much
Ferarro and Palin were the first women to run as US Vice Presidential running mates (Ferraro for Walter Mondale in 1984 and Palin for John McCain in 2008), and the Fox News discussion focused on how women have broken through many former barriers. What was NOT discussed was the Bibles teaching on the womans role in this present world.
the title on your post is clearly incorrect.
FALSE!!
She called those who SAY WOMEN SHOULD STAY AT HOME neanerthals. Your facts are not straight.
I read that different than her calling stay at home mom’s neanderthals.
“..who pick on the petty little superficial meaningless things like looks, like whether you can or cant work outside of the home if you have small children.”
I think it is a commentary on people who tell women what they can and can’t do, not on the decision of a woman to stay at home.
So you read that, and concluded she was calling stay at home mom’s neanderthals?
I’m going to type real slow, so you have a chance to understand this. Palin was calling the MEN that THINK ALL WOMEN should be stay at home moms Neanderthals.....
Was that slow enough for you.... That Palin hate thing you’ve got going on there is really messing with your mind. NOBODY that saw her say that thought she was talking about stay at home moms....
