And that may be the point that several FReepers, including some who are no longer with us, were trying to make. Unless we take a Sawzall to the budget we will continue to fight our own money. If we can get everyone to agree to cut the size of government the social/ethical issues become much simpler.
I agree. And from what i see, nearly nobody is pro-abourt or pro-gay agenda here. The difference is how to fight it. Some think strategically, some are tactical only. The truth is that both have a place.
I just side with the crowd that thinks radical economic reform can almost completely solve the “social issue” problems.
To me, the bitterness aimed at those of us who think constitutional fiscal conservatism is the answer, is like wanting to shoot down every Zero, and being angry at the guys wasting their time back home in Utah,,,,, as they spend each day practicing the dropping of one oddly-shaped bomb.
We are on the same side, with the same goals. Some of you would do well to remember that neither approach won the war alone. And that there is a time for both.
