TSA Pat Down...Mountain or Mole Hill?

Question. Is too much being made of this TSA pat-down issue? I have been reading a lot of stories on line that this is tantamount to sexual assault under cover of authority. Are these X-Ray scanners that bad? I just have to wonder how we ever flew prior to 9/11. I am watching a YouTube video some guy caught on his phone after refusing a groin check what is scary is the recording over the PA in a soothing voice that security is everyone’s job. Very “1984” So what do y’all think??? Me, I am against it I think the TSA is a waste of tax money and and infringement of our liberty

I got picked, at random, to be searched when leaving Costa Rica a couple of weeks ago. Despite being a guy, I had to get patted/searched by a female security person. The worst part is the fact that she dug everything out of my camera bag, which had taken me a long time to pack so it would all fit.

The real clincher is that in airports without that particular machine, the ‘enhanced patdowns’ aren’t mandatory. IOW, this is pure theater tha has zero relation to security.

We have to have an intrusive pat down and/or be hustled into an x ray machine irradiates us unnecessarily while millions sneak across the border without being detected or stopped. What's wrong with this picture?

K-BAr is a misspelling (my bad, should have read "Ka-Bar") of the name of a popular sheath knife originally made for the civillian market, but later adopted by and made for the USMC by Union Knife Company (among others) in WWII. FOr the most part, the design persists, with modifications, to today in both the civillian and military markets. More info and a picture here link
