OOPs.
The Obama Administration has handed out 111 Obamacare waivers to US companies... And, they're hiding this from the American public. It takes 6 clicks to find out this information on the Health Care website. Unfortunately, if you're a small business or don't have connections you can't get a waiver for your company. That's the new reality under the Obama-Pelosi regime.

Maverick County only has 1 person???
Violates the Equal Protection Clause.
Easy lawsuit, IMHO, to get the ENTIRE thing tossed by SCOTUS.
Algore made the same mistake in Bush v. Gore..cost him the Presidency (not that he really won it to begin with..but still..)
Someone with the time and funds needs to get on this, pronto..and nip Bambicare in it’s tracks COMPLETELY.
This ‘should’ be a chip-shot, IF the rule of law matters any more (not sure that it does..but IF it does..buh bye Bambicare..)
I want a list of those denied waivers........
I’ll bet that list mirrors those making donations to GOP

Rep. Tim Walz, D-Minn., “They just didn’t understand how we could save money on this by adding more people to the system...”

Among the waivers recently granted were for employers like Darden Restaurants, which operates the Red Lobster and Olive Garden restaurants, for 34,000 of its workers. Federal officials have granted 111 waivers to employers, insurers and union plans, who are responsible for covering about 1.2 million people.

Also on the list: Carlson Restaurants, which owns T.G.I. Fridays, and hair salon chain Regis Corp:

Also on the list: Dish Networks and more. At this point, the better question is: Who wont be on the list after the Obamacare central planners fully acknowledge the destructive consequences of their schemes?

If you like your coverage, you can keep it. With permission?
Well, sure, you can concentrate on the unexpectedly high number of waivers that are needing to be granted for businesses, but arent you forgetting the pressing need of getting ObamaCare passed in order to help the little guy?
Just look at all the people who are having their lives put back together after being steamrolled by the laissez faire no preexisting conditions tyranny

Mr. Obama declared at the time that uninsured Americans whove been locked out of the insurance market because of a pre-existing condition will now be able to enroll in a new national insurance pool where theyll finally be able to purchase quality, affordable health caresome for the very first time in their lives.
So far that statement accurately describes a single person in North Dakota. Literally, one person has signed up out of 647,000 state residents. Four people have enrolled in West Virginia. Things are better in Minnesota, where Mr. Obama has rescued 15 out of 5.2 million, and also in Indiana63 people there. HHS did best among the 24.7 million Texans. Thanks to ObamaCare, 393 of them are now insured.
States had the option of designing their own pre-existing condition insurance with federal dollars in lieu of the HHS plan, and 27 chose to do so. But they havent had much more success. Combined federal-state enrollment is merely 8,011 nationwide as of November 1, according to HHS.
This isnt what HHS promised in July, when it estimated it would be insuring 375,000 people by now, and as many as 400,000 more every year. HHS even warned that it would bill private carriers for any claims if HHS decided that they had cancelled coverage to dump costs on the government. That outcome would certainly be in keeping with Mr. Obamas caricature of rampant discrimination against the sick.
Yet that hasnt happened. The HHS plan has flopped despite generous benefits and taxpayer subsidies that offset at least 65% of the total cost, sometimes more. Coverage is issued to anyone who has been turned away by even one insurance company or has been uninsured for longer than six months, and premiums vary only by age, not health status. In essence, HHS created a program that is designed to operate at a loss and still cant lure the customers it thought would come streaming its way.
One of RP's buds
Couldn’t businesses that don’t get a waiver sue due to apparent inequal application of the law?
....so far.
At this rate, the Republicans won't HAVE to repeal ObamaCare.
Thanks for the chart. I don’t know why, but for some reason my chart doesn’t contain the column that includes the amount of money those organizations contributed to the DNC before receiving their waivers.
What’s one of those waivers cost these days? This will be another tool Obama can use to reward his friends and punish his enemies.
If Boehner really wants to ignite the right for 2012, he should announce that all companies and labor unions who receive a waiver now will be presented with a bill for 200% of the savings that waiver gains them if that company or labor union openly supported the healtcare reform effort once the Republicans take control of both houses and the Presidency in 2012.
Make punishment of the corruption of the left a rallying cry for 2012.
It seems obvious that when government gets THIS oppressive and tyrannical, and companies must depend on arbitrary 'waivers' from administration bureaucrats to stay afloat, we have a system that is ripe for 'kickbacks', 'greasing the skids', 'pay as you go', 'political contributions' and general corruption.
