Hannity was surprised to hear a famous ex Air Force General tell him That Is A Missile, Shot From A Submarine! I quote retired Air Force Lieutenant General Tom McInerney (ex commander of 11th Air Force in Alaska) I spent 35 years flying fighters, and you can see the guidance system kick in, I have watched that film 10 times, I am absolutely certain that that is not an aircraft, but a sub launch ICBM missile!!! See the video and judge his words for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LivRJOWrcpA&feature=player_embedded#! I will next post a clickable link.
This seems to be something you have to register for.
My colleagues: real scientists who are not out to make bucks off of GW grants or selling carbon offsets -- including yours truly.
Or, even. the science fair project of this fifth grader -- who took first place in physics -- and beat out hundreds of competitors in a regional science fair for 6th thru 8th graders. (She also took the USAF Award for "Best Project"...)
Much like this discussion: solid science versus hysterical hype...
~~~~~~~~
(In case you haven't figured it out, her conclusion was, AGW is NOT "good" science)...
Each looks exactly like this as the missile goes up, passes through different cloud levels and wind directions at different heights, then vanishes as it goes down range. Out to sea in this case, heading west. Now, heading west isn't good for launching satellites, but if this were a missile launch from a sub, who wants to waste a satellite on the top of the missile.
The purpose of this kind of launch is to show that “We can launch a missile off of your coast - and you can't do anything about it. Now, pay up.”
“Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the War Room!!”
Yup.
“Reasonable and non-duplicitous people can discuss and disagree without being a**holes.”
What’s duplicitous about being right?
I’m not an expert in aviation, missile launching, rockets, military of any sort, a news cameraman who’s seen the skies of LA for years daily, or anything else.
A photo means nothing to me.
What counts is the rational viewpoint of people who are experts in the above.
And, character counts.
you really need to listen to lj
They didn’t exactly pan the sky did they looking for more.
Look, I LIVE here, you can see just one contrail because conditions must be correct for them to form and.. .persist.
It’s an aircraft contrail. No more.
Captured on video from an angle and sunset lighting that gives an illusion to an observer in a certain area.
If that video had not been on TV, few would ever have even seen it because it was a just a contrail.
That’s a good question. I am pretty sure I recall hearing them say, in the initial reports either that the chopper or the missile were 35 miles off the coast. Now I don’t remember where that number came from, but it’s what is stuck in my head.
This is the picture I saw. Contrails do not go up. The ocean is out there. WAY too much propellant was used due to upward smoke plume to be a Star Wars interceptor or anti aircraft missile.
The smoke plume going up used a LOT or propellant. I have seen the shuttle plumes and this is not as big but it is a big rocket. Look at how high it went up before going downrange.
Sea launched ICBM. No doubt about it.
It’s a bit much to start assuming someone’s motives. Why would you do that?
It doesnt create a huge buzz when it happens because it is not normally plastered all over the TV and usually conditions are not always going to produce such a dramatic appearance from a certian viewing area.
I have seen this stuff before. I don’t know what else to freein’ tell you folks.
It did NOT light up the “entire” sky.
And if any “experts” are being silent now perhaps the are a bit embarrassed about being wrong.
Would it be possible to get a video of one coming in and zoom in on it?
I know that won’t convince very many if the pictures don’t, but maybe it would help.
Oh, like people assuming that some of us are paid off government stooges or even Chinese spies because we call a plane a plane?
BINGO!
Now tell us how these particular experts fit into the "make a buck" catagory, or admit your "analogy" was crap.
The picture in #303 was the one I saw. That is a sea launched ICBM. It is going up, it is out in the ocean and it is big. It is using a LOT of propellant based on the upward plume.
The “35 miles” shows up on a hokey TV studio map graphic in the first report — and then disappears — except in lingering memory...
Bears repeating.
