Cindy McCain announced that she is against the repeal of "Don't ask, don't tell" one day after she appeared in a video where she lends her support to end the ban on gays openly serving in the military.
Earlier this week, the former Presidential candidate's wife appeared in a video campaign for the group NOH8 railing on the United States' controversial military policy a policy that her husband supports.
"Our political and religious leaders tell LGBT youth that they have no future ... They can't serve our country openly," she said on the video.
(snip)
But on Friday night, she appeared to have a change of heart at least on Twitter.
"I fully support the NOH8 campaign and all it stands for and am proud to be a part of it. But I stand by my husband's stance on DADT," she tweeted.

Well here I sit with egg dripping off my face. I suppose I should get a frying pan and not let it go to waste. My brain saw Cindy McCain and immediately I went on a rant against Meghan. Shows how I feel about the daughter but was totally irrelevant to the original post. Mea Culpa.
Lab Problems: Must be an electrical short...lol, however it does not explain McCain’s daughter...that girl is like a moderate Alzheimer’s patient with paranoid delusions.
“A paranoid delusion is a ‘fixed belief’, that cannot be changed, even with the facts.”
I wish that whole family would just drop off face of the earth quietly or close their mouths, to stop the embarrassment to the conservatives of America.
maybe it’s Cybil instead of Cindy?
What gets me is how totally clueless the point she’s supporting in the video is. The idea (explicitly stated in the video) is that as long as society supposedly treats homosexuals as “second class citizens” by denying them marriage and open service in the military, bullies will see them as second class citizens and pick on them.
I was stunned by how blitheringly stupid that idea is. No matter what one’s position on DADT and gay marriage is, are we really supposed to believe that the thug shoving a gay kid in the trash can at high school every day is thinking, “I’m doing this because you can’t serve in the infantry?” And if the gay kid can suddenly serve openly in the military they’re going to have some sort of after-school special moment of acceptance that ends with a freeze frame of them high-fiving each other while the credits roll?
Then there’s the part where the one “celebrity” I don’t even recognize calls out “They can’t even give blood!” Yes, male homosexuals can’r give blood because of transmission of a deadly disease. It has nothing to do with prejudice; I know a male heterosexual who isn’t allowed to give because he’s had hepatitis. Big whoop.
Jam 1:8 A double minded person [is] unstable in all his ways.
Cindy is a flake ...looks like her husband had a few “words’ with her...LOL
>>Cindy has a split personality??<<
Or the old man laid down the law doncha know.
Mystery solved. John McCain was influenced by his wife on the art of reaching across the aisle.
I thought this thread is about Cindy, not Meghan? Not that they’re different...
It is. I caught my mistake and posted as such. You must have missed it.
I’ve been having a good time watching you debate yourself! ;-)
Well at least I’m providing a cheap form of entertainment. Today is one of my steroid days. I should really try and not use my brain at all when on these things. I have a hard enough time when not taking drugs. And yes they are prescribed.
The McCain missus is also a flip-flopper? Well whatta ya know. Mama used to call those kinds of people wishy-washy.
