Now that the midterm elections are over, Tea Party energy is at risk of dissipating due to the lack of a pressing goal to work towards. If the Tea Partiers are going to become a long-term, serious force, they must be willing to tackle serious problems without an immediate payoff like an election, else they risk going home and becoming a flash in the pan. This is exactly what the establishment hopes will happen.
The election results point to several areas needing our attention. Tea Party favorites Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, and Ron Johnson won despite predictions to the contrary. Defeats of Christine O'Donnell and Sharron Angle are being trumpeted by the Republican establishment as proof that their big-tent RINO strategy is superior. O'Donnell made the point on "The O'Reilly Factor" that the Republican establishment worked against her campaign by refusing to share their voter lists and provide needed base support that strangled her candidacy. This is unconscionable!
Seize the Parties
Our first order of business should be to purge the Republican Party leadership of establishment figures complicit in this affair. First to go should be the gaffe-prone Michael Steele, whose defining legacy will be remembered as the massive waste of party funds to schmooze with potential donors at a strip club. Along with Steele should go any supporters he's implanted to provide cover for his misdeeds. There are already calls within Republican ranks for Steele's ouster, and pressure should be applied to the state party chairmen who make up the RNC and choose the chairman.
The next Republican Party Chairman should be someone with close ties to the Tea Party who can insure that Tea Party views are taken seriously and Tea Party candidates are supported. A few Tea Party luminaries should be installed in key positions to tap into their grassroots networks and activist spirits. The politics of "it's my turn" is over!
Tea Party patriots are demanding that the Republican Party present a clear distinction from the Democrats' progressive liberal agenda instead of accepting it as a fait accompli and seeking to merely slow down its implementation. The RINO establishment resemble the Chinese autocrats in the sense that they don't appear to believe in the platform anymore but instead are interested only in retaining power.
In Delaware, Tom Ross must go.
We will over time see if Sarah Palin is the right person to lead a revitalized Tea Party, but I'm already convinced that she is the right person to keep Tea Party conservatives focused for the long term. We have not won the war for freedom, just the first open battle with what used to be the government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Palin gets that, and when Americans listen to her they recognize the truth too.
The job just started. Turn the attention to 2012 and ridding the country of Zero and the rest of the Rhinos.
If I lived in South Carolina I wouldn’t stop until 2014 when Lindsey Graham is up for election.
I would think that Mr. Roberson might benefit greatly by attending some regular Tea Party group meetings before trying to write a story about what we should be doing to keep the mojo going.
The first bullet item on the new agenda is the Senate with 22 Dems and 9 Pubbies on the block. Most of the Pubbies are RINOs if that is any indication on where the Tea Parties are focused.
The second is naturally Obama and Hitlery. Both have enough baggage to require cramming a 747 baggage compartment for either to make a move across the street. Now that the Tea Parties have the attention of the media, local, national and world, it will be far easier to get an unfiltered accounting to the public.
Third will be the continuation of State and local races with a special emphasis on educating the voters of Judges in elected positions and their records. We even need more focus on the appointed judges with a look into instigating impeachment proceedings on those who use the bench for one man legislatorships. Here in the City of Jacksonville, we are still a bit busy with Mayoral and other races coming up in March for the primaries and elections in April. Again, RINOs are target #1.
Fourth will be to make a run again at the missed opportunities of the 2010 mid-terms in addition to other low hanging fruit possibly with an opportunity to go for a veto proof congress if for some reason Obama makes it for another term. The redistricting before 2012 will be a very important factor.
Fifth; many of the local groups have been in a 24/7 battle since the rallying cry from Rick Santelli in February 2009. They have organized, grown and been on the front lines for 2010 and slowing the Obama freight train wherever they could. Now it is time for families, reflection and thanks to recharge their batteries and to use the down time before January to use introspective analysis to calmly sketch out the details of moving forward on the four bullet items above.
I attended my first Tea Party meeting in January of this year and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead. So, Mr. Roberson, join us to get a real insight instead of forming an opinion off what you hear from the media.
The piece seems prefaced on the presumption that the entire
thrust of the Tea Party was an election. IMO the purpose for the Tea has not— cannot be recognized until those associated with the Tea Party and now in political office have opportunity to leven the whole loaf.Only when the Tea Party’s goal of limited and Constitutional governance is realized can there be a loss of interest in the work begun.

I’m fast coming to the conclusion that the tea party is about as well-understood by outsiders as most religions.
At some point, if the Tea Party Political Chemo Therapy doesn't work, surgery is going to be needed.

There is PLENTY to do...continue to purge RINO’s; cut taxes, cut spending, close GOP primaries at the state level, repeal the 17th Amendment, line item pork out of state and federal budgets, reduce election fraud...plenty to do.

I could not believe is was just since Feb 2009 that the movement had begun, so I looked it up.
The grand rant should be one of those moments in history that are never forgotten. Nor should that which followed in an election barely a year and eight months later. Rick Santelli struck a match for liberty and lit the world on fire.
CNBC the favorite liberal, progressive, left leaning whipping boy of biased “journalism” needs to be remembered in irony, for being the vehicle of the spark that united the Tparty movement.

Santelli’s remarks on February 19 added additional fuel to a fire that began in Seattle on February 16 when Liberty Belle organized a rally to protest Barack Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the 1,071 page “Stimulus Bill” signed by Obama in Denver on February 17.
In his remarks, Santelli called for a Chicago Tea Party. In response, fiscally conservative bloggers and activists began organizing a series of such events, beginning two days after his speech in Kansas.[5]
On Friday, February 20, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs attacked Santelli CNBC reporter whose rant against its housing plan is making waves on the Internet, saying Santelli “doesn’t know what he’s talking about” and “I would encourage him to read the president’s plan and understand that it will help millions of people, many of whom he knows. I’d be more than happy to have him come here and read it. I’d be happy to buy him a cup of coffee - decaf.”[6]
The reference to “decaf” was interpreted as a criticism of the energetic delivery style deployed by Mr. Santelli in his remarks. The Politico said that Gibbs “took on” Santelli in “unusually personal terms”.[7]
Santelli responded moments later on-air, saying, “I would love to show up. I want a dialogue. Enlighten me, enlighten America. Make us see the light. We want to be participating and we want this to work. We want to feel we’re all being treated fairly and equally.” Santelli added that de-caf sounds good, but, “I do prefer tea.”[6]
Financial analyst Larry Kudlow referred to the White House commentary on Santelli as an “unprecedented White House assault” on the freedom of the press. Kudlow also characterised it as a “blistering attack” that may foreshadow the “worst press relations we’ve seen in our lifetime.”[8]
Some excerpts from a transcript of Santelli’s February 19 remarks:
* “The government is promoting bad behavior! How about this, president and new administration, why don’t you put up a website to have people vote on the Internet as a referendum to see if we really want to subsidize the losers’ mortgages or would we like to at least buy cars and buy houses in foreclosure and give ‘em to people that might have a chance to actually prosper down the road and reward people that could carry the water instead of drink the water.”
* “This is America! How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor’s mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can’t pay their bills? Raise their hand. President Obama, are you listening?”
* “Cuba used to have mansions and a relatively decent economy. They moved from the individual to the collective. Now they’re driving ‘54 Chevys, may be the last great car to come out of Detroit. We’re thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July. All you capitalists that want to show up at Lake Michigan, I’m going to start organizing.”[
Amen, Amen, and Amen. The precedent, in history that happened to the original secessionists, will hopefully be considered only in legal terms for the next secessionists.
Some get it, some don't. There will be a time of choosing...

I agree with secession providing all 50 States do it simultaneously.
Then set up a new capital somewhere outside the beltway. Maybe Oklahoma City? Then set ‘Rat traps allaround it.

a) retain current tax structure
b) pass legislation to give Congress review/control over Executive regulatory pronoucements (Czar Check)
c) roll-back federal spending, including major de-funding of regulatory agencies which have exploded
d) investigate Zero, investigate Czars, investigate Fed
e) defund Obamacare
Part 2 - Checkmate
f) attack the deficit
g) focus on social conservatism - trust in God
h) sort-out NASA, EPA, Dept Education, TSA, Energy Dept
i) HELP SMALL BUSINESS ... roll back the red tape
j) try and rescue the dollar
