New Jersey Politicians Want a List of NRA Members and Their Employers
Senate Bill,NJ ^ | 11/8/2010 | Senate Bill

Posted on 11/12/2010 12:14:09 PM PST by mikelets456

From an NRA email alert;

In a blatant attempt by entrenched New Jersey politicians to strong arm citizens who oppose their re-election, Senator Barbara Buono (D-18) and Senator Loretta Weinberg have introduced legislation which would require certain contributors to "issue advocacy organizations", including the NRA and ANJRPC, to have their names, addresses and their employers' information sent to the government.

S2379, if passed, will mandate that any "issue advocacy organization" classified under IRS Code as a 501©(3), 501©(4) or 527 that engages in the election or defeat of any person to state or local elective office; the passage or defeat of any public question; or that provides political information on any candidate, must submit the names and addresses of contributors and their employers to the Election Law Enforcement Commission.

The State Government, Wagering, Tourism & Historic Preservation Committee will hear the bill on Monday, November 15th at 2:00 pm in Committee Room 7, 2nd Floor, State House Annex in Trenton, NJ.

S2379 is a shameless attempt to intimidate citizens who engage in the legislative and political process.

Here's the bill: http://www.njleg.sta...500/2379_I1.HTM

Keep in mind that this effects ALL Gun Rights Groups who fall into this category.

The biggest threat to liberalism and liberal politicians is liberty.

ACORN, NAACP, SEIU, AARP, I think we could build quite a list this would cover.

This sounds unconstitutional. But, this BS has unintended Consequences they must have missed. Unless the word has gone out to Dummies to lie on a Fed Doc.

I was going to suggest wearing it, the NRA membership, like a badge of honor. But I’m not sure it’s that honorable anymore.

Is there a list of the commies in NJ?

I’m sure there’ll be exemptions for Move-On, ACORN, etc. because of tall the “good works” they do...

Under this law any Pastor that took a position on a political issue from the pulpit would have to sent the names and addresses of the entire congregation to the government.

Based on the NRA’s recent maneuvering, they will get an exemption for themselves.

This is going to doom them. These attempts by the Democrats at thuggery always backfires. They learned NOTHING from this past election.
