That is not just a fine piece of art. The skill and technology required to successfully fire such a large double-walled vessel -- with that flimsy and delicate latticework outer shell -- is enormous. And they managed to keep the colors brilliant and durable.
And they did it about the time the Pilgrims arrived on our shores!
