It’s right all right. But it is just about the 3rd or 4th time today this has been posted.

But I’m not complaining. This needs to go viral.

Since when is honoring Veterans Day with the display of the American flag disruptive? That's a question facing school officials at Denair (Calif.) Middle School who reportedly prohibited a 13-year-old student from attaching an American flag on the back of his bicycle. According to a story by Monterey TV station KSBW, officials at the school near Modesto forced Cody Alicea to remove his flag because some other students complained. School superintendent Edward Parraz told KSBW that students who didn’t like the flag might cause a disruption. Under the 1969 U.S. Supreme Court ruling Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School...

DENAIR, Calif., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Officials in a California school district said a middle school student was told to take a U.S. flag off his bike to avoid "racial tension." Denair Unified School District Superintendent Edward Parraz said Cody Alicea, 13, was told not to fly the U.S. flag from his bike while at Denair Middle School after complaints from other students, KCRA-TV, Sacramento, Calif., reported. "(The) First Amendment is important," Parraz said. "We want the kids to respect it, understand it, and with that comes a responsibility." Parraz said racial tensions boiled over at the school this year...

This is absolutely infuriating and I can only imagine my reaction if I were the mother of this patriotic schoolboy. I do all I can to instill a love of God and country in my children. My 10 year old son is deeply patriotic and I would be enraged if his school reacted to his patriotism in this manner. DENAIR – 13-year-old Cody Alicea rides with an American flag on the back of his bike. He says he does this to be patriotic and to honor veterans, like his own grandfather, Robert. He’s had the flag on his bike for...

13-year-old Cody Alicea rides with an American flag on the back of his bike. He says he does this to be patriotic and to honor veterans, like his own grandfather, Robert. He's had the flag on his bike for two months but Monday, was asked told to take it down. A school official at Denair Middle School told Cody some students had been complaining about the flag and it was no longer allowed on school property. "In this country we're supposed to be free," said Cody. "And I should be able to wave my flag wherever I want to. And...

A Stanislaus County school is forcing a student to take an American flag off of his bike. Thirteen-year-old Cody Alicea put the flag there as a show of support for the veterans in his family. But officials at Denair Middle School told him he couldn't fly it. He said he was told some students had complained. So now the eighth-grader folds up the flag and puts it in his backpack while he is in class. His father, Robert Kisner, said his son should not have to put the flag away. "He's got that flag on his bike because he's proud...

This is different. It's the opinion of a First Amendment "scholar" at the First Amendment Center. It's good coverage. Maybe now AP will condescend to cover the story.
