You have reading comprehension problems it seems. 1) I made comment on the use of the word admittance and 2) Palin’s deliberate creation of the word refudiate. I have been around here since Aug 2000, if you want to refer me to the mods feel free. I have little use for empty threats written in cyber space.

"Like Sara but shes a sure loser in a general election. If we want to make Obama a one-termer, we need a different nominee. (Romney and Huckabee are also fine, but near-sure loser. We need a fresh face.)"
If the election were held today, but things can change. Palin isn't sitting still, and I'm not convinced she can't rehabilitate her image in the next 16 months. But if she can't, Mitch Daniels might be the Republicans best shot in 2012. He currently doesn't have national name recognition, but neither did Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton.

Reread your definition. The “act of admitting” refers to allowing someone to enter. As I was granted admittance to Studio 54 by the guy at the velvet rope.

The larger context of the discussion is missing. Parker's actual point was different than the mendacious NewsBusters would have you believe.
Of course, the ever-honest NewsBusters conveniently cut off right there, as if what follows didn't matter. Which, to NewsBusters, it probably did not matter -- they're a rather sensationalist and untrustworthy crowd whose main goal is to stir controversy, rather than provide truth.
For those who would rather see the whople thing for themselves, CNN video is here.
Totally different context.
NewsBusters lies. Again.
And Ms. Palin apparently can't be bothered to get the full context before she spouts off. Again.

It doesn't say what it refers to. I just went to dictionary.com for a quick listing. Now you've done it. You've made me pull out my OED (Compact-1971). I will now have to hand-type the pertinent entries.
3. The act of admitting as valid or satisfactory. acceptance, sanction.
4. The action of admitting the truth (of a tenet) either from conviction or for argument's sake.

So is the any criticism of Palin is evil incarnate. As far as PDS, i’ve got a lot more to think about than arguing with Palin zealots. If she runs and wins the nomination, I’ll vote for her, but NO politician gets my unswerving devotion.

Sounds like the catty teenage girl picking on the cute new girl in school. Newsbusters is being dishonest, as usual.
I provided a link to the whole conversation up at #107. By "led," Parker is saying that she was the first to write a column about how Palin was not ready to be VP.
IOW, she said something entirely different from what NewsBusters reported.

What's amazing about this thread, is that folks are all spun up by a lie, and by Palin's response to the lie.
Listen to the actual conversation.
It's not even close to what people are shouting about here....
FR is becoming an embarrassment.... no checking of facts, just a blind acceptance of things that FReepers agree with, and a blind rejection of things they don't.
Pathetic.

Parker is a stupid whore who is calling Palin unqualified in an attempt to boost ratings for the pathetic CNN TV show she does with that degenerate Spitzer.
She is a freaking Spanish Lit major from FSU, wow is Parker ever SMART, she must really have all kinds GRAVITAS.
Dumb whore.

I listened to the Kathleen Parker clip and can't agree that the Newsbusters characterization was wrong or out of context. She said what they said she said, and her other comments didn't really express anything but her ongoing belief that Palin was out of her league.
Yes, she did say that Palin might someday be a credible national candidate, but that doesn't change the fact that she was one of those who repeatedly wrote snarky things about Palin. And the latter admission was significant, because it is the first time I'm aware of that she even admitted that Palin has any potential. Palin is slowly beginning to turn the oil tanker around, so to speak, and I think the opinion of the elites is shifting to a more favorable view of her. They are now debating and arguing with her policy positions, not just laughing at them.

You got me. What's wrong with the use of that word? It's a perfectly good word:
admittance (noun)
- the process or fact of entering or being allowed to enter a place or institution : people were unable to gain admittance to the hall.
- Physics a measure of electrical
It's just that the sentence calls for a different word - admission (or, perhaps, confession).

Yes Katleen, what do YOU stand for!?

they're a rather sensationalist and untrustworthy crowd whose main goal is to stir controversy, rather than provide truth... You would, undoubtedly, know more about that than most other posters.
