Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin responded on Twitter this morning to the admission by pseudo-conservative TV host Kathleen Parker that Parker "led" the media "assassination" of Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign after Palin became the Republican vice presidential nominee.
While debating Palin supporter John Ziegler on CNN last night, Parker admitted her role:
ZIEGLER: You took part in the targeting of Sarah Palin. You essentially took part in the assassination of Sarah Palin 1.0. That person is dead; she doesn't exist any more.
PARKER: No, no, no. Actually, I did not take part in it: I led it. Let's be clear. Let's get our facts straight.
Palin taunted Parker with her response posted on Twitter today:
SarahPalinUSA Parker: appreciate your admittance. Now, I'm still standing;Standing by family, faith & flag. Who do u stand by today?http://bit.ly/d5p72x

I read Kathleen Parker's opinion pieces in the Dallas Monrning News and wonder... is this a Republican?
Kathleen Parker = RINO that's watching her brand of "conservativism" fizzle away.
Well, bye.

I'm all for getting rid of the racist “One Drop Rule” the Left lives by (even if you have only one drop of black (Jewish,if you are a Hitler Leftist) blood you are black)but until conservatives can reinstall the American vocabulary there it is.

If MoDo, Peggy’too much god’Noonan, David Brooks and Kathleen Parker are considered conservative writers by the NYTimes/msnbc, what do they consider folks like Mark Steyn to be?

Like Sara but she’s a sure loser in a general election. If we want to make Obama a one-termer, we need a different nominee. (Romney and Huckabee are also fine, but near-sure loser. We need a fresh face.)

If we want to make Obama a one-termer, we need a different nominee. Sarah is the ONLY candidate who could beat Obama, but for the sake of transparency it must be admitted that Obama is not running for a second term, never intended to, doesn't need one.
That Cloward-Piven goal was to inflict the maximum amount of damage in the minimum amount of time.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
Obama will be headed for Secretary-General of the United Nations by November 2012. His ineligibility for the position is irrelevant, as always.

For an example of how low is the descent of Parker’s career, look at who she has for a costar.

What this show needs is Antonio Vargas, who played Huggy Bear - the pimp on Starsky & Hutch. It already has a hoâ and a john. A good pimp is the missing ingredient and Vargas plays a great pimp.

There should be a real firearm shot around somewhere...
All I know is that I grabbed that frame from a video about the time she was introduced as VP candidate. IIRC, that scene with the simulator was overseas (Kuwait?)..

Were those images necessary?
Haven't the natural biological and spiritual advancements of Mankind been perverted enough by the Left without your contribution on a forum devoted to the devout following of Natural Law?

I hope the use of the word admittance was a deliberate gaffe designed to taunt her detractors.
ad·mit·tance /ædˈmɪtns/ Show Spelled[ad-mit-ns] Show IPA noun
noun1.permission or right to enter: admittance into the exhibit room.
4.Electricity. the measure of the ability of a circuit to conduct an alternating current, consisting of two components, conductance and susceptance; the reciprocal of impedance, expressed in mhos. 4. Electricity . the measure of the ability of a circuit to conduct an alternating current, consisting of two components, conductance and susceptance; the reciprocal of impedance, expressed in mhos. Symbol: Y
Palin is not using bad diction here. We are not French where there is only one word for each definition. English is a textured language; Palin's use of ADMITTANCE instead of ADMISSION is both accurate and and has a more active-present feel. (MITTERE is the Latin active form of the verb to send. MISSI-,MISSUM are perfect and passive, respectively.)
Those who have a problem with using "admittance" should go back and read some more Fowler.

Possibly, but in none of the other definitions you present is the relevant meaning of "admission" (see 5 and 6 below) addressed.
ad·mis·sion /ædˈmɪʃən/ Show Spelled[ad-mish-uhn] Show IPA
noun
1. the act of allowing to enter; entrance granted by permission, by provision or existence of pecuniary means, or by the removal of obstacles: the admission of aliens into a country.
2. right or permission to enter: granting admission to the rare books room.
3. the price paid for entrance, as to a theater or ball park.
4. an act or condition of being received or accepted in a position, profession, occupation, or office; appointment: admission to the bar.
5. confession of a charge, an error, or a crime; acknowledgment: His admission of the theft solved the mystery.
6. an acknowledgment of the truth of something.
7. a point or statement admitted; concession.
