If I see the moon in the sky I'm going to believe it's the moon and it doesn't matter to me how many people tell me it's a UFO, and that they should know, because they've seen dozens of them. Oh come on, Wissa, you can do better than that. A more accurate comparison would be: If I have never seen the moon except in video, and I see a video of the moon it doesn't matter to me how many people who've actually seen the moon LIVE and IN PERSON tell me that particular video is falsely labeled and is something other than the moon.
Or something like that! ;^)
Seriously, a lot of inexperienced, sheltered people can reach erroneous conclusions from watching a couple of minutes of edited video of a particular item. But people who are experienced in seeing that particular item live, along with people who are considered EXPERTS in that particular item, are (whether you like it or not) goiug to be less inclined to reach an erroneous conclusion than someone who a) is not an expert and/or b) has no experience seeing the item live.
I have never seen a tornado, but I have seen videos of them. If the veracity of a tornado video was in question and it looked iffy to me but someone from the midwest experienced in seeing tornadoes live thought the video was genuine, I would not presume to think his conclusion was inferior to mine. The opposite, in fact.

Your photo of a true airliner contrail is more evidence that the video was of a missile plume.

I can't see why supposedly rational folks would be so ardently wishing for that to be so. That sentiment makes you sound like a snarky, smug jerk who finds bliss in willful blindness. Only a fool would "ardently" wish that it was a Chinese threat, as you know full well. YOU are just getting off on feeling superior to others -- we all know the type. I would prefer to think it's an airline contrail, but I'd be engaging in total self delusion if I did. What I HOPE (and actually believe because of things I've seen with my own lyin' eyes) is that this was an unannounced test of our military.
Just out of curiousity -- how many missile launches have you watched live?

When I see the screenshots that show the shadow of the contrail, I believe I'm seeing a contrail, and not the smoke trail from a missile, because I know how that shadow is formed. It happens when the sun is exactly lined up with a long length of the contrail, like looking down a gunbarrel.
It doesn't matter to me how many missiles you've seen launched. I'm not going to ignore my understanding of what I'm seeing.
The shadow. The dissipation of the contrail by the wind farther back. The relative lack of motion of the object creating the trail when the camera isn't creating an appearance of motion by zooming in on it. I won't ignore those factors and start thinking it was a missile unless you could show me some photographic evidence that shows a smoke trail from a missile displaying those characteristics.

Question: How many missile launches from a nearby (relatively) air force base have you watched?

Obviously, and both pictures show the typical spiraling exhaust plume, which is not the case with jet aircraft.

Thanks for posting that AFB!
It shows the distinct difference between jet exhaust and missile exhaust.

Go through the threads, there's tons of pics of spiraling contrails caused by turbulence. Man this is getting ridiculous.

First things first: I really appreciate that you're so well-spoken, civil and nicely mannered. :^) It is a pleasure FReep-debating among the likes of people like you. My mother would describe you as "well bred." :^)
What you describe seeing in the video and what the cameraman described seeing differ from each other.
Is the camerman lying, do you think? Listen, I don't trust news media folks any more than 50-50, so if you said you thought he was lying, that would be an opinion I'd have to seriously consider, just as I consider it a possibility that this guy could have deliberately filmed what he perfectly knew was an airliner contrail (in live time, with a zoom lens or a pair of binoculars, there would be ZERO chance of misidentifying one for the other, no matter the altitude of the airliner) and has intended mischief by pushing it off as a missile. But here's a fact: he was there, and he knows if it was an airliner or not.
One thing to keep in mind: as you perfectly well know what an airliner at very high altitudes does, because you have watched them often over the years, so does the cameraman. The cameraman has also seen what missile launches do, and how they end up. They end up differently than a plane going overhead.

Did you happen to watch the video????? At approx. 32 seconds you will see a UFO in the video which would indicate that the missile was fired at the UFO and it missed............
We're obviously not at war with Islam any more, there's a greater threat from beyond our galaxy............

A vertical contrail. Planes fly straight upwards, right?
Just curious, how far away do you suspect that contrail is from the individual taking the picture?

Yes it WAS a missile! It was spraying budweiser all over California. Sent by the mexican drug lords to cause the Carnival Splendor to blow up but their evil plans didn't quite work out.
Next thing you know they will be sending contrails of Starbucks to infect us. Either that it is unicorn farts as some have posted on EVERY STINKING STUPID THREAD OF THIS BS.

cruise ship was crippled by a Chinese sub using an EMP attack that then caused the US to launch a missile at the sub. Is there a cover up going on?
Yep, a nuclear device activated EMP on a select ship in the ocean with no radioactive detection or collateral damage on shore or from any possible surrounding ships..........Yep, that works for me.

I watch that video (within your link) which is the one I've watched several times now - Each time, my instincts tell me we have a sub based launch......However, with when this occurred...that there is only one real video of it happening (not dozens) as one would suspect in today's times.....I fall back and go with occams razor on this one. It was a plane caught under untypical conditions from a unique position.
Now if it was a sub based launch. I'm 99% confident it was one of ours....Our response has not be one of foreign element...nor have there been any leaks coming from secret Congressional Committees. Such leaks would be happening if they were possible.
