Then why can’t you see bones with it?

I’d feel alot safer anywhere that the military is in control, rather than an incompetent moron like Crapitano.

We’ve got a new congress in a few weeks, my suggestion is we take this problem up with them asap.

You are spot on, I will only fly if I absolutely have to. It is a royal pain. The hassles just keep piling on.

” Just use software to quickly and reliably scan the THOUSANDS of passengers who pose NO risk, and highlight only those who might.”

So, you are a wimp: “You have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide.”

You’re the type that believes this is all about security and would support everyone each and every night standing at attention outside their homes ready for a government anti-terrorist squad bedtime inspection of their homes if “it meant saving just one life from terrorists.”

No, thank you. I prefer a free nation and if being strip searched to travel is what you think makes for a free nation, I’d rather deal with the terrorists instead of government terrorists. Trading one terrorist for another is stupid.

Wow.

Fundamentally flawed logic.

Hyperbole.

No.

I would prefer that the process be improved using technology readily available.

I would prefer we used processes, technologies and tools to RELIABLY and unobtrusively AND effectively deter and prohibit some stupid jihadi from doing his dirty deed.

Now please, spin down a bit.

Interesting link about some of the scanner myths—originally found on Drudge:

So, you are part of the problem as you see nothing invasive about strip searches using technology and you believe the hype that behind every good American looking to travel there is a terrorist.

How do you so much as leave the house without wetting yourself?

It is not recommended that pregnant women or children go through these machines.

I wonder why if they’re perfectly safe?

NOT zero. An article I read said that there own research showed that it would cause cancer in 1 in 200 million uses. Now, maybe that’s acceptable to them and our government, but please don’t spread the story that it’s perfectly harmless.

Here’s the deal. I’m not going to subject my minor daughter to EITHER the naked scanner or the groping “pat down”. From what I’ve read, the “pat down” would land these people in jail if they tried it outside the airport.

The answer is that we will not be flying. I’m sure others won’t, as well. A great boost to our already-lagging economy when travel gets socked now.

People, they think we’re sheep and will take it. Here’s what the TSA says:

“’We have received minimal complaints,’ a TSA spokeswoman told CNET yesterday. She said that the agency, part of DHS, keeps track of air traveler complaints and has not seen a significant rise.”

Well, she is going to see a rise from this former traveler.

I heard Bush on Rush the other day.

Bush was still talking about amnesty, and Mexicans “doing the jobs Americans won’t do.” Tell it to the construction workers in Las Vegas and elsewhere, Mr. Bush. Unfortunately, our former president still has a tin ear.

Some kind of electromagnetic wave thingys. http://blog.tsa.gov/2010/03/advanced-imaging-technology-radiation.html

You are aware that x-rays are part of the electromagnetic spectrum, right?

Yeah, I know. "Science is haaaaard."

You're a woman right? Why do I get the feeling you'd be willing to trade away your liberties for the promise of safety?

“I have fixed this problem for myself... I WILL NEVER FLY ON A COMMERCIAL PLANE AGAIN.”

Same here. Never again!

The “nazification” of airport screening could very well become a campaign issue in 2012, to our favor if it is promulgated correctly.

One of the campaign promises candidate Palin should make in 2012 is to immediately reign in the out-of-control TSA after she assumes office.

I sense that such a pledge would garner a good share of votes!
