PIR & NASCAR FANS CELEBRATE VETERANS DAY
Pre-Race Festivities to include Salute to Active Military and Veterans
To help NASCAR fans celebrate Veterans Day, Phoenix International Raceway will pay tribute to the generations of men and women who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Kobalt Tools 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pre-race show beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 14.
For the race, the No. 39 Chevy will sport a new patriotic paint scheme by The U.S. Army and Stewart-Haas Racing. Ryan Newman winner of the last Sprint Cup Series event at PIR in April teamed up with Phoenix International Raceway to create a special military ticketing program designed to honor Veterans Day and provide tickets for military families. The program titled Troop Newman is part of PIRs Salute to Military Families initiative.
The Kobalt Tools 500 pre-race show will feature more than 60,000 American Flags waving in the Grandstands donated by the Paralyzed Veterans of America. The spectacular pre-race show will also include:
· A "Welcome Home" ceremony for 150 guardsmen from the Arizona National Guard
· Recognition of Arizona selections for the U.S. Army All American Bowl
· A performance by The U.S. Army Band
· An aerial entrance to the track by skydivers carrying the American Flag
· Display of a 200-foot American Flag by Arizona Project Challenge
· National anthem by acclaimed trumpeter Dr. Jesse McGuire
· F-16 fly-over by Luke Air Force Base
· Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard
The Kobalt Tools 500, NASCARs semi-final race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, starts at 1 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPN. NASCAR in the Arizona desert: Phoenix International Raceway

I will definitely post a pic of a trophy buck. Settled for two does last year since the state of Missouri has antler restrictions. I saw several nice bucks I normally would have taken, but they have to have at least 4 points on one side to qualify now. Makes it difficult to count them on the run when it takes a split second decision about shooting.......is it legal or not?

I always worry about red flags for elk on the racetrack. Maybe I am crazy, but it happens here all the time!

And a new way to wreck your race car if he changes lanes, and good luck to your bumper.
And like this
These seem to be race fans who always have the box seats and never get on the racetrack.

You should be here when the Banana Slugs are in the Rut...

There has to be a way to convert banana slugs into either a super racing fuel or a spray from under the spoiler that will cause anyone behind you to spin out and crash. There has to be a huge business case for banana slug farmers!

If we (us two) can control the banana slug market we could be more powerful than George Soros.

Old George is the mother of all banana slugs. I went to a thank you meeting this evening with my son for conservatives who contributed to the local successful election of city council members and board of supervisor where 100% won over libs, some incumbents, and there were 5 guys there who had just gotten back from a Pheasant hunt in So Dak. They left SD in balmy weather only to land in a snowstorm in Denver but EKA was clear and mild here...

Glad you heared me. If we could turn George Soros into a defensive NASCAR slime spray, I would vote to take out Kyle Bush at Talladega in turn 4. A Daytona tri-oval crash would be a close second. No injury, but slippery, slidery on the slime before the car is toast.
