Earl Green was arrested last night near the Target store along the 3300 block of Arlington Avenue in Riverside in connection with the Sunday night slaying of Officer Ryan Bonaminio after a traffic stop and brief foot chase in the city's Fairmount Park.
...A candlelight vigil is scheduled for this weekend in Riverside, organizers say.
...The vigil is being held on Veterans Day partly in recognition of Bonaminio's service in the U.S. Army -- including two tours in Iraq -- before joining the police department four years ago.

I’ve never had much use for laws that say someone’s life is worth more than someone else’s.

Riverside County court records reveal that a man with Earl Green's name and date of birth has a record of at least 13 cases stretching back to at least October 1990, when he pleaded guilty to two felonies: receiving stolen property and battery on a police officer and was sentenced to one year and four months.

Actually a lot of guys facing a death penalty or life without parole go for the death penalty here is CA. The CA death row has better accommodations/food than your standard CA maximum security prison plus your chances of dying of old age on death row before CA actually kills you makes this a no brainer for anyone facing a capital crime conviction. CA is sooo screwed up!

...could be charged with offenses that would pave the way for the death penalty In California? When, in 2034?

Just lead the scumbag out into the Mojave desert and put a bullet in his head. Leave his carcass for the coyotes and birds. Done!...case closed!

He'll never be executed in my lifetime.
And you can take that to the bank.

Those who murder police officers should be executed. So should those who murder non-police-officers.
