Boy, I wish I could ping a couple of the old “Linux is Communist software” folks to this thread.
While I don't know that Richard Stallman has altered his Marxist views one iota, Linus Torvalds has always played politics close to the vest. Larry Wall, the creator of my beloved Perl programming language is a Christian which, by implication, implies Conservatism in most cases.
And given the hundreds of Linux distributions, there's a clear case of the free market at work as each tries to compete against the other.
Where is GE now that we need him?
