IF it’s a commercial jetliner (and it may be) it seems it would be an easy thing to tell exactly which flight it was.

It’s called San Clemente Island.

Well of course. Excellent disinformation. BTW, those UFOs over airports, they’re really not holographic images either.

No, it is NW of San Clemente. It is a small island compared to those. Map and name was posted on another thread. I can’t find it now.

Yet nobody reported a thing except this wacky news copter crew?

I doubt it would matter anyway. Over 600 people witnessed TWA flight 800 get hit by a missle and they were all ignored.

We will never know what happened here since our government cannot be trusted to tell us the truth anyway.

What this crap saying mystery missile’ may have been “errant” launch, ...if we launched even by accident...we know it...the launch was out at sea...if one of OUR ships or sub... don’t you think the Captain would get right on the radio when it happen to to the Pentagon and say “Opps! or "look out" or "Fore!" or something?

You forgot to add; “That you know of.”

Normally they try to get to closer to the equator which is the purpose of having one that can float out to sea.

It’s probably those darn terrorists practicing again like they did with TWA 800.

It was [supposedly] launched from a ship, which many times are nukes.

All non-SSBN nuclear weapons were removed from ships back in the early 1990's.

This is very close to the Navy's only remaining live-fire range, San Clemente Island. There is a strong possibility this was a Harpoon or Tomahawk practice shot or new missile mod test from an SSN, and the Navy HATES discussing where and what their submarines are up to at any given time.

I'm aware of that.

Still.... it'd make for a convenient way to launch polar missions from someplace other than Vandenberg.

I agree. Missiles have to be enabled from multiple sources before they can be fired. It’s not like you can spill a cup of coffee and “ZOOM!.........Uh!oh!”
