Grief counseling after the wipeout
A staffer for a congressional Democrat who came up short on Tuesday reports that a team of about five people stopped by their offices this morning to talk about payroll, benefits, writing a résumé, and so forth, with staffers who are now job hunting.
But one of the staffers was described as a "counselor" to help with the emotional aspect of the loss — and a section in the packet each staffer was given dealt with the stages of grief (for instance, Stage One being anger, and so on).
"It was like it was about death," the staffer said. "It was bizarre." The staffer did say the portions about the benefits and résumé writing were instructive.
The teams weren't sent by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office. Two people have suggested it may have been the Clerk's Office or Human Resources.
While Tuesday was definitely a major loss for the Democrats, I hadn't heard it cast in a stages-of-grief way before

grief councilors and go around to various democrat
offices , make them stand on one foot, whistle dixie,
etc, don’t worry you’ll feel better after wards.
What kind of idiot goes to work for a politician and doesn’t keep the resume updated? If they all went there thinking this was a lifetime job, then it’s just that much better that they’re all about to be unemployed.

When Newt took over in 94, he gathered all the opposition staffers, etc. in one room and said “You’re all fired”....at least so I’m told....Music to my ears. Show them the nearest 7-story ledge.
They were warned constantly that if they voted for commiecare and adding to America's debt, they'd be unemployed. They did it anyway. They KNEW the possibilities for shafting the Will of the People, but they ignored us. It was truly political suicide.
Oh, they rotate through offices so it can be considered a career job. When there are lots of one party or another, jobs are plentiful for an experienced staffer. Lots of nepotism going on too. My democrat congressman has 3 siblings working for him. They are like eunuchs in dynastic China. They run the place.

Grief counseling? Blame the loss on The Imam, Pelosi, Reid et al. Hey RATs, welcome to the real world of unemployment. BTW, there are NO jobs.

Despite working for a Democrate the staffer quoted sound like he or she has her head screwed on right. There’s a mocking tone to the quotes. Most likely an adult.
