Bush 'Thinks' Sarah Palin 'Unqualified'
The Economic Times ^ | 6 NOV, 2010

George W Bush has suggested that Republican leader Sarah Palin is "unqualified" and she spoiled the party's 2008 presidential election campaign, a top aide of the former US President has said.

"Naming Palin makes Bush think less of McCain as a man. He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin," a Republican official close to Bush was quoted as saying by the 'New York Daily News'.

Bush suggested that the 46-year-old glamorous former Alaskan governor is not at all qualified to be President and criticised Senator John McCain for picking her as his Running Mate in 2008, the report said.

Matt Latimer, former special assistant to Bush, wrote in a book released last year: "'I'm trying to remember if I've met her before. I'm sure I must have'. (Bush's) eyes twinkled, then he asked, 'What is she, the governor of Guam?'"

Bush has been disparaging about Palin in the past.

Why do most anti-Bush posters on Free Republic read like students from an English-As-A-Second-Language crash course?

Because they are typing with their fists.

Latimer and Rove are Romney's hires to attack
Gov. Palin and Pres. Bush.

All and any conservative will be savaged for Mitt Romney -- just as he/they
threw both elections of 2008 and 2010 to every Democrat they could.

Matt Latimer: I think that Romney would've bought a business sense to the ...

“Rove is pushing Romney so aggressively some folks are beginning to wonder what's going on,” grumbled one veteran Republican strategist.”

“Rove has made no secret of his support for Romney as McCain’s VP. ”

"I find her to be a very dynamic, capable, smart women who, you know, it really says that John McCain made an inspired pick, to me," Bush said in an interview to be aired Tuesday morning on "FOX & Friends." "She's had executive experience, and that's what it takes to be a capable person here in Washington, D.C. in the executive branch," Bush said in excerpts released by Fox.

I agree with Outlaw Woman here. This was my thoughts,sans Rover, when I first read it. There is a lot of ‘unamed sources’ since the election last week. No names, just comments. Just a little too convenient for me.

“makes Bush think less of McCain as a man”

I don’t think Bush would characaterize a man who crashed in air combat and was held prisoner for 5 years that way. Also, I don’t think Bush, if he wanted to criticize Palin, would citicize McCain at the same time.

Good or bad, Bush had better come out quick and either verify or deny what Rove has said he said. If he does nothing he will put the final seal of incompetence on his political persona.

Clearly, the Economic Times of India is a reliable source? You missed the companion article: Bush critisises [sic] Obama, says he has failed as president. {Again unsourced}

These unnamed sources with absolutely no basis in fact deeply cut into the credibility of the Free Republic and it’s ability to share and discuss topics of import.

Steamburg:"Clearly, the Economic Times of India is a reliable source?..

nickcarraway called it a "joke".

FReepers do not believe it, given the above posts.

These unnamed sources might or might not have
"absolutely no basis in fact", but the FReepers
cut through this like butter.

GW wasn’t excessively qualified himself.

He has 1 term as governor, started a second. Spent much of the early part of the 2nd term running for the presidency, and abducated when he won it.

Obama had some state senate experience, and two months as US Senator before he announced.

Heck, Hillary Clinton was actually more qualified than either of them. She has a full 6-year senate term and 20 days into her 2nd term before she announced.

==

Of course, GW is part of the GOP country-club elites and Palin is not. The CCE’s seem to be gearing up to support Romney.

You’re right. There is no way Bush would criticize Obama, so it can’t be true.
