Bush 'Thinks' Sarah Palin 'Unqualified'
The Economic Times ^ | 6 NOV, 2010

Posted on 11/07/2010 11:23:53 PM PST by nickcarraway

George W Bush has suggested that Republican leader Sarah Palin is "unqualified" and she spoiled the party's 2008 presidential election campaign, a top aide of the former US President has said.

"Naming Palin makes Bush think less of McCain as a man. He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin," a Republican official close to Bush was quoted as saying by the 'New York Daily News'.

Bush suggested that the 46-year-old glamorous former Alaskan governor is not at all qualified to be President and criticised Senator John McCain for picking her as his Running Mate in 2008, the report said.

Matt Latimer, former special assistant to Bush, wrote in a book released last year: "'I'm trying to remember if I've met her before. I'm sure I must have'. (Bush's) eyes twinkled, then he asked, 'What is she, the governor of Guam?'"

Bush has been disparaging about Palin in the past.

So the story is unimportant and simply a base on which everyone can rant to their heart’s content. Ok, no problem here.
Still, I would liked to have also seen this story from the Economic Times posted. (I lack the interest, ok)
“Obama wishes to take some Indian horses and camels back home.”
You could then spend the morning making comparisons as to how they might have something in common with his wife, czars and cabinet.

You’re right. There is no way Bush would criticize Obama, so it can’t be true.

I truly like that remark. You probably also read the story about how Obama wants to bring home Indian horses and camels.

I was never a big Bush fan, but Bush doesn’t have to come out and deny or verify what some unknown person said he thinks.

I also don’t think Bush worries too much about his future in politics.

Bush may be an amnesty loving elite, but he was not incompetent. Whatever he says, or someone says he said, he is free to have his own opinions.

The "Make the Leftwing Smile at our Infighting" Ping List!!!

Don't ping me if you want on or off of this list.

While we don't believe anything they say about Obama, we believe every unsourced, unverified innuendo about other people opposed to Obama's agenda!

Only YOU can stop Astroturf fires.

These unnamed sources with absolutely no basis in fact deeply cut into the credibility of the Free Republic and it’s ability to share and discuss topics of import.

It is funny to watch FReepers campaigning against George W. Bush . . . .

All of what you say is true, and in addition Dubya is a warm and compassionate human being.

I don’t believe anything about Sarah Palin until I verify it with sources I trust. I’m well aware that Palin is being attacked by the GOP ruling class and the Left, who want to destroy her.

One thing is certain in my mind about these attacks - The mood of the country is such that ultimately they will serve to make Palin even more popular.

In fact, they may be responsible for electing her president in 2012.

Bush was not a friend of Conservatives, this much we know. He's an Establishment Republican managed by Tokyo Rove.

Or any of the new faces that are about to start dominating the scene post-2010, Rubio, etc.

But I heard Marco Rubio said something nasty about Sarah from a friend of an operative who knows someone at Starbucks in DC....

It must be great to be a “journalist” & get to use unnamed sources.

Unless there is video showing Bush saying that I would not believe this story.

LOL!

Yeah, I heard the same thing! But that was from a guy in Orlando that knew Rubio’s yard boy who was told by Rubio’s maid that she had heard Rubio trash Palin over breakfast.

Also, Rubio is said to be so upset with Palin that he has taken “Baked Alaska” off the family menu!

No word yet on its replacement.

That is good. The claim sounded out of character for Bush. I do not recall him attacking anyone personally. Even the clintons were spared when he had every right to slam them.

How could you trust a video?

Look at the one on Daniel Webster by Grayson:-)

I trust a video a lot more than a second hand unnamed source in the NY Daily News. The Grayson video was caught quickly. If somebody tricked up a video with George W. Bush that would be undone quickly as well.
