Orrin Hatch should take the hint and retire. He’s been around since Jimmy Carter was President. Its time for new blood and fresh ideas in conservative governance.

To most of America, Orrin Hatch is seen as the representative of Mormons; however, he has supported stem-cell research and countless ACLU judges, acts which no Christian would do. If the Mormons would like to be seen as Christian to the rest of America, then they will have to unceremoniously boot this scalawag out of office before they can make progress with the rest of us.
They kicked out Bennett, so I have hope for Utah.

We can knock this stiff out in the primary. He was a good man that let the system corrupt him. Time for new blood.

Yeah, he would wear that bow tie and just love to play both sides and loved the camera. He would string the right along only to cave when it really counted. I would have liked to have seen the fear in his face the night Bennett got the boot - probably said/thought “OMG, these people are idiots”.
To: george76
It’s time for him to go. What he did for Clarence Thomas is very commendable, but we need new blood.
If he was up this go round instead of Bennett, he would have been gone too.

O. Hatch is the epitome of the middle of the road guy portrayed in one of Rush’s radio parodies...
To: george76
He was good in the 80s and ok for most of the 90s. He's old and has become a product of the DC cocktail circuit and needs to go. In his defense, I can't think of any Republican who has been there for that long who didn't become a RINO by the end. Barry Goldwater, for example, was getting more liberal by the minute at the end of his career.
If Utah still has that party caucus system of picking the nominee in 2012, I would imagine that Hatch will be gone. He ought to retire and go honorably instead of being forced out.

He started out so conservative, he would have been a FR posterboy. But then after a few years of French-kissing Ted Kennedy, the city changed him.
Time for him to sell his mansion in the VA suburbs and return to the quiet beauty of the Wasatch Mountains.

He's always called himself one of Ted Kennedy's best friends.
That's enough for me to toss his butt out.

It is long past time to replace 75 year old Hatch with younger person...the same rule can be made across the entire legislative world in Washington.

Hatch should have left of his own volition long ago.
Since he doesn’t intend to leave voluntarily, he will have to be run out of town on a rail.
So be it.
I’m already looking forward to the 2012 primaries with anticipation.
