I would have thought any attack was a declaration of war. Destroying the WTC is just an attack, but hit the Pentagon and it’s war. Did he really write that?
My God, I can't even imagine the thoughts roaring through his mind...
Then 1993 should have been called an act of war...And Bubba announced we'd get the bad men and put them in jail. No changes in USA security or how we treated terrorism. Most people didn't really absorb the threat of terrorism in the USA back then.
That was my reaction too. The first plane attack should have been considered a declaration of war. Actually, any terroist attack should be.
I thought the same thing at that time. The first two planes into the WTC could have been an attack by a small group of crazies with a grudge. The third and fourth planes headed for the Capitol/White House and Pentagon made it crystal clear that a well-funded, well-organized enemy had declared war on the United States.
Nope. He was talking about the first plane that hit the WTC. The first could have been an accident. The 2nd was definitely war.
Agreed. Some of the things I’ve heard about this book are weird. Like him believing a saudi’s kooky story about a turkey on the road being a sign from a lie?
Like the saudi got to Crawford & decided to turn back because he didn’t like Bush’s position on Israel, but he thought a turkey on the road was a sign from a lie, so he decided to go?
what? And Bush believed that claptrap?
