George W. Bush: "Find out who was responsible and Kick their Ass"

The terrorist attacks on America on September 11, 2001, gave his administration a clear goal and him the resolve to find out who was responsible and "kick their ass," former President George W. Bush writes in his new book.

In "Decision Points," Bush describes his reaction when his then-National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice informed him of the crash of a third airplane into the Pentagon.

"I sat back in my seat and absorbed her words. My thoughts clarified: The first plane could have been an accident. The second was definitely an attack. The third was a declaration of war," the former president writes in his 481-page book, which goes on sale Tuesday.

"My blood was boiling. We were going to find out who did this, and kick their ass," Bush writes.

"In a single morning, the purpose of my presidency had grown clear: to protect our people and defend our freedom that had come under attack."

>>>he is not Christ like perfect in his conservative views and is therefore a worthless scumbag

Worthless....hardly. He lead a nation out of the shock of 911.

If he is what you say, it puts him on a pedestal towering above your level.

For crying out loud!...It was SARCASM and so noted as such. Good God.

Bobby — I humbly ask your forgiveness. I totally missed the /s at the end of your post. Just completely breezed by it. As one who has a robust and healthy appreciation for sarcasm, I SHOULD have recognized it as such anyway — but my “filters” are “off,” and it’s just been an “off” weekend for me! :-( Please accept my apology. I blew it. Sorry....

Agreed. Some of the things I’ve heard about this book are weird. Like him believing a saudi’s kooky story about a turkey on the road being a sign from a lie?

Like the saudi got to Crawford & decided to turn back because he didn’t like Bush’s position on Israel, but he thought a turkey on the road was a sign from a lie, so he decided to go?

what? And Bush believed that claptrap?

Can you say he is not? When was the last time he appeared in public or a video/photo that was clear enough to identify? Not since before the daisy cutters hit the mountain.

unconditional surrender was approved by FDR/Churchill/Stalin.

and seeing as how Churchill was the only non marxist of the bunch, I agree with Churchill....

Ya know I was thinking....Winston Churchill's mother was a natural born American… …of course his father was a Brit. and Winny was born in....Hawaii...yeah that's the ticket Hawaii....now that means that the British Bulldog was really and American Pit Bull...and believe you me he would have made a better POTUS than socialist FDR any friggin’ day. And his superiority over our current POSOTUS is too huge to make an intelligent comparison.
Just saying is all. © Vaquero 2010

Using the bomb on the Japanese made sense since they would not have given up other wise, but in Europe, a negotiated
settlement would have saved hundreds of thousands of allied
solders and civilian lives.
